Mostly prep type stuff (degreasers, cleaners, dressings, soaps) since its easy to buy in bulk locally. I haven't used any of the polishes/waxes/sealants yet. Let me know what you think of them. | |

Dont knock the stuff till you try it. | I've just had bad luck with some of the products. Green Stuff was OK, not very advanced by the smell of the chemicals. I was told by one of my clients their Tire Shine (Purple) that was loaded with Silicone was a complete disaster. They sell alot of products to dealerships & etc, again I don't like their pricing for some of the equipment/tools they offer. UPS/Fedex from TOL/Optimum covers everything you could want and way cheaper. Majestic Solutions :: Official Site
SamXP,
I haven't registered on CE, but I'm a regular on NCeuro.org (Woob)
Brandon1,
Near Raleigh correct? Ask Zippymbr, he has a nice place to meet for RDU/Triangle people.
I'll be back in Christmas, so willing to do anything then.

Thanks. detailing has been slow this month. But that gave me some time to work on the house. Sorry, no sink yet. It is far down on the project list. Family is great, about to make our second trip to Fl this season. . Kids do love Sea World! I need to order some Hi Temp and some Optimum if anybody wants to go in with me.

I'll bring the CPO RX330 we just grabbed from Johnson, not very happy with the paint finish after seeing some mild carwash marring. Not bad overall however.

I've been part of 4 to 5 different threads talking about getting together... and it always fizzles out. I still consider myself to be in the learning stages of detailing, only detail for myself and a few friends, and don't have some big fancy garage (so envious of you who do!), but am always open to the idea to meet other detailers. It just seems that in the last year I've been with Autopia, we just can't a meet put together. Do people think others will steal their secrets? I even tried to get Meguiar's to come out here and do a lil demo. Mike was all up for it if we could get the commiment from a group of peps to go to an event put on by Meg's. But, no serious bites on participation from the community... sigh.
I just don't understand.

Join Date: May 2006 Location: Raleigh, NC Posts: 98 | Re: Sun Fun North Carolina Detail Meet/List OK... so... the details (no pun intended): Who: I imagine that there'd only be a handful of folks? Unless people unexpectedly pile on? When: Saturday June 30th, say... 11am? 12pm? 1pm? and maybe... a couple hours? 3 hrs maybe? Where: I know a few folks have very spiffy garages. But, I don't want to volunteer anyone. With the heat being SO hateful this week, not being out in the open would be nice What: The ultimate question. So, we could get together and just admire detailings. We could bring some of our primary, 'must-have' products and demo them and our techniques on our own cars (or someone elses if they offered! :O ). We could get together and go over areas of our details that are a pain in the butt to deal with and any tips you've found. We could have some of our community pros offer up a lil how-to to some beginners. We could do all of this?
To not have our first session spiral out of control, I'm partial to the "bring some of our primary, 'must-have' products and demo them" and the "go over areas of our details that are a pain in the butt to deal with and any tips you've found."
I'm not trying to steal anyones thunder by pushing us to do something, and I'm not dictating what we should do. I just want us to do SOMETHING. A number of us are local to the N.C. Triangle area. And I'd like to try to get us all together and shake hands and chat.... like them boys out thar in Ca-lee-for-nee-a do all thu time! Ya know?!
