I either try and do it during the allowed hours (5-7pm on certain days) or I try and wash the wheels qucikly and then do an ONR on the rest of the car. (I'm not too comfortable washing wheels with ONR yet, tooo time consuming).

it's 5-7 am not pm in broward, and the car must be washed on the lawn...

From what I've been told, the penalties vary - anywhere from $25 up to and including $5000. And yes, it's true, the helicopters do fly by - one of our local police officers was telling me that they've actually had to purchase extra patrol cars (unmarked). Pretty nuts, right?!?!?!

Also heard on the news that large office buildings downtown have been asked to raise the thermostat on their AC's due to the water they use to cool.

Sorry to hijack, But I am looking for a good detailer in either the Plantation or Coral Springs/Parkland area to remove swirls from a new Lotus. Please PM me I have a car show coming up and would like the paint perfect.

The fine is $500.00 in Parkland right now.

My neighbor has a huge gate with bushes covering his home. He washes his car under a carport whenever he wants and then just pulls it into his 4 car garage (it has two big tw0-car garage doors) and dries the car where there is a drain in the center with a nice 32'' TV on the wall...

Just felt like bragging for him...Heck I would. Lucky SOB...
