Need referral in Wilmington, NC

I am helping a friend find a good detailer in Wilmington, NC.

Wilmington is near Raleigh, Fayetteville, and the Myrtle Beach area.

The owner tried to remove some baked on tree sap / pine tar, and left visible scratches in the paint.

She took the car to a local detailer to remove the scratches, remove the pine tar, tree sap, bugs, etc.

The detailer allegedly clayed the car, and used both a rotary buffer, and a random orbital.

The pine sap did not get fully removed nor did some of the smaller scratches. She tells me that you can still feel some of the imperfections (sap + Bugs)which are now under the wax!

I told her I would help her find a well-regarded detailer in her area.

Can anyone provide a referral?

I think your friend in Wilmington would be more convenient for her.

Can you provide contact info?

I come down to wilmington about every other weekend, depending on how bad the car really is, I could take a look at it. I live in Wrightsville Beach.

Lemme know.

Wilmington Detailer

I am the one having problems finding a good detailer in Wilmington. Besides all the imperfections under the wax the finish is reflecting stroke marks in different light (not circular). Will you see stroke marks after a washed, clayed, polish and wax procedure? I also have a black car that is in serious need of some good detailing.

VaSuperShine: Who is your friend in Wilmington? I have family in VA.

Brandon1: I could easily get both cars to Wrightsville Beach for you to take a look at them.

Thanks for your help!

Gilli-Yes I could look at them for you, but exhaust all of your other options first. I am a little hard to get up with as I dont know if I will be going to the beach until about one day before. And I only go about every other weekend. But if you cant get up with anyone else, I will try to take a look.

Brandon1, We are only 7miles from the beach. Do you know The Surf Club? We could meet there. I am trying to exaust all my other options. If nothing else you could tell me if it is possible to correct the paint imperfections.

Thanks!

Buff Master

I have not had any luck with detailers in Wilmington so far. Do you know if Buff Master does a good Job? Have you used them before? What procedure do you all recommend for rubber trim around the windows? Last time they only detailed part of it.

Thanks!

I will be down this weekend at wrightsville. I have never heard of the surf club. Have you ever heard of Bradely Creek marina? What about Marine Max? Atlantic Marine?

I would be glad to take a look this weekend and possibly schedule a detail next weekend as I know I would be going down both weekends.

PM me with a contact number.
