Re: Deodorant/Antiperspirant
Ammens Powder... best deodorant/anti-perspirant on the planet! No caking, no stickyness, no clamyness. I'm a big guy and used to sweat profusely, switched to this stuff and never looked back.

This Certain Dri (or the buck cheaper Walgreens equivalent)
I've switched a couple friends to it as well.
And I'm convinced it's less expensive..since it becomes an every other or every 3rd day product and it's very thin

Old Spice red zone high endurance, soft solid.....best stuff I've EVER used, and only thing that keeps my dry. I will sweat profusely if I use ANYTHING else.

Re: Deodorant/Antiperspirant
Currently using Old Spice High Endurance Invisible Solid. The label says goes on clear...thats a lie. I'm almost to the point of throwing it away but I don't feel like going to the store. I get the caking and it chalks my shirts up and sometimes by the end of the day no matter how little I put on it starts to crumble and gets all over my seat in my cars. I hate it. Gonna find something better and different that works for me.

Bingo! Me and another friend who sweat a lot figured that out after years of trying different stuff and talking about results.

Re: Deodorant/Antiperspirant
Old Spice makes 9 different deodorants. Old Spice Red Zone Soft Solid Unscented is my favorite.
I like the performance and absence of any scent. I get no staining from this product and I like the fact that there is no scent to conflict with my other personal care products like after shaves and other skin and hair care. I hate the mingling of 4-5 different scents, and prefer to use products with less or no scent and choose what I want to smell like separately.
I am also a wine lover and part of enjoying wine is smelling the subtle nuances of the wine's bouquet. This is impossible when those aromas are masked by a strong deodorant, cologne, or aftershave. If you guys go to a wine tasting skip the scents please. LOL

Re: Deodorant/Antiperspirant
I've been using Maxim antiperspirant (bought it online) for about 4 years... sounds like Certain Dri that's been discussed here. I don't have any particular interest in the company, just ran across the product on hyperhidrosis forums (...just google it... yes my pits do sweat like waterfalls if I don't regularly use this stuff.) I definitely recommend it, but as I said Certain Dri sounds just like it. The only thing with Maxim is that the itchy pits is definitely a risk if your skin isn't really dry.

Re: Deodorant/Antiperspirant
For those that may have found yellowing underarms on your white shirts, this is a great product for removing them:
The Clean Team Stain Assassin
Cleaning Products and Supplies, Online Clean Team Catalog
I've found that it takes at least 2 applications if the yellowing has "set." The first removes most, but leaves a bit of a ring (pouring the product on). The second time I mist a bit over a larger area to blend it in/clean it out.

Re: Deodorant/Antiperspirant
I'm not so concerned about the staining, I have long-term issues with the odor that's left in the shirt after a while that can't be laundered out. Once the staining becomes obvious, I throw the shirt away.
I've tried a bunch of products and typically stick with unscented. I've got a brand new shirt on today and I'm noticing right now that it already smells !! I just switched anti-per spirants last week, too.
It seems that I get an irritation following extended use and am forced to switch. I wish I could find a solution - - - I don't really have excessive perspiration. It's the odor that becomes an issue and it doesn't seem to wash out. I used Mitchum for a long time, but then the irritation was too much to handle.

Re: Deodorant/Antiperspirant
I have used several kinds of Deodorants/Anti-Pers and none really stood out all that much. I use Gillete triple protection Gel that does not completely stop sweating but leaves a nice smell and is pretty good. One thing that kind of concerns me is all the Deodorants with Aluminum zirconium which I don't know if I want on my skin and possibly getting in my system as I have heard a few warnings about it in the past. I may try Mitchum next as it seems to have some good feedback.

AFAIK only anti-perspirants have aluminum in them. (It's the ingredient that "stops" the sweating.) If you buy a deodorant, it shouldn't have aluminum, just scent to mask the odor.
As to odors, I have read (not tried) that shaving the pits can help, as there is less breeding ground for the bacteria that causes odors to grow/multiply. Also, diet has something to do with this. Apparently more fruits/veggies make for less smell than more meat/grease.
Again, just what I've read, not tried myself.

Have you tried any hunters soaps? There are laundry detergents and bar soaps made specifically for masking/eliminating human scents on clothes and bodies. I would imagine this would also work on "everyday" odors.
