I have the Rigid WD0625 and it works fine. Great sucking power and plently of attachments that you can buy. Easy to find replacement parts too.

Re: Which shop vac would you recommend under 70?

I would go with the RIDGID 4050 if I were you. I know its towards the top of your price range, but it is totally worth it. IMO the RIDGIDS have tons of suction, are pretty quiet, and pretty much indestructable. I know you would be happy with your purchase. Plenty of guys here have it and seem to be really happy with it.

I myself have the RIDGID 4550, which I absolutely love, but its a little out of your range for price ($99.99)

Re: Which shop vac would you recommend under 70?

My friend has the rigid and he hasn't complained yet. I also got a chance to play with it a little while helping him with his car. I think it's a great product.

another vote for the WD4050, bought mine a few weeks ago and was AMAZED at how well this little thing sucks! The blower option is pretty nice too, you can get a lot of junk out from underneath the seats this way
