I can't frickin win

Today I decided to go the extra mile on a 1972 Corvette. I saw that under the chrome rear luggage carrier the paint needed buffing BAD. So removed the carrier, well guess what? It came off fine. but the reset screws fell inside the black hole of the car. Now I have to find six replacements (I hope) somewhere. Isn't like you can find these things anywhere. I just can't win. If you don't hear from me, I just bought a 72 Corvette and my wife kicked me out of the house. Gary

you cant use one of those magnetic parts retrievers to get the originals back? I would just get one of those on a long wand and try sticking the head in the hole. Can't hurt to try at least.

I'm trying to remember this website for chevy restoration that sends me catalogs all the time. I mean they had every nut and bolt in there.

Google on Corvette restoration dude, I'm sure you can find the screws cause those are popular cars to restore. I would first make a call to the local Chevy Dealership and talk with the parts dept.

If they can't get em they may know who is selling NOS (New Old Stock)

I think on the last page of that PDF is the part number for what you need. Says the kit includes the supports and washers, too. P/N 76503.
