Awesome news! I'll be running my very own detail shop shortly!! LONG ***PICS***

Well, I was contacted by a guy looking to open a detail shop about 2 months ago. Well, I met with him this morning where the detail shop will be located, he wanted me to check out the facility and location.

Location is PRIME, the latest stats for this intersection that it's located at was that 37,000 cars PER DAY passed this place, so it's in a high traffic area. Other great thing about it is that it's in the "rich" part of Ft. Wayne, very nice houses and cars.

The shop itself is a mechanics shop, with empty bays. So we talked with the owner and determined that we're going to lease out 2 of the bays. One is going to be a wash bay, it was already being used as an automatic car wash, so it has all the drainage required already there. The other is an empty bay for his garage. He is going to be ripping out the automatic car wash so I will have a wet bay large enough to house 2 cars at a time, then a dry bay that is seperated by a wall next to it.

Here's some pics of the place, I didn't take many and some came out dark but it gives you an idea of how it's going to look.

This is where the dry bay is going to be located at. The 'exhaust' sign will be taken off and one of our custom signs added.

This is where the wet bay will be, access in and out from the other side of the building.

And since this is Autopia, home of the clean freaks. Where the wash bay was located for this place has close to 8 years of soap scum build up on the windows. Does anybody have any idea of a chemical or method to getting these windows clean? Here's some pics of how nasty they are.

Outside looking into the wash bay.

Lighting was bad on these next two so excuse the darkness.

Inside wash bay looking outside on 1 window.

Inside wash bay looking outside second window.

I REALLY want these windows cleaned up and clear because it looks horrible for people driving by to have a detail shop that can't even keep their own windows clean.

Any ideas for the place or suggestions on how to get it around and set up? Some recommendations for proper lighting in the dry bay would help greatly.

Thank You! I can honestly say that 90% of the knowledge I have about auto detailing came from this site, and the people at this site. It's been invaluable to me.

I bet that Mikes Car Wash across the street put that automatic carwash out of business.

Probably. But we aren't offering an automatic carwash. It's a totally different clientel. People that want a half-*** job will go to the automatic wash, people that want their vehicle properly cleaned will come to us.
