Makita 9227 or DeWalt 849

I have always used a dewalt 849 and the thing performs awesome. I wanna purchase one for my personal use and detail business. I never have used the Makita 9227 and sounds like its just a lighter weight machine with 2 more amps over Dewalts 8. IM assuming its just another better version of the Dewalt. But Dewalt has a great reputation and stand by there products and they just feal better made. So I need some help on this topic. Any and all opinions are appreciated on both machines. Also about how much for each machine should I expect to pay. Thanx In advance...

Heres a few threads I pulled up on a search. There was a post this week saying that Harbor Freight had the DeWalt unit for $150, im not sure if its still available. I think both machines can be had for $200 each if you shop around. HTH.

The debate between the two machines has been done to death here. A few searches should give you more info than you need. I personally think that they both have advantages in their favour and no real disadvantages. You can't really make a wrong decision between the two and it all boils down to ergonomics, color and small token differences.

For the record I have the DeWalt DW849.
