Finally...some jobs to do!

Well, finally, within the past month, business has picked up and my weekends for the next month or so are booked. Got a call in January about doing a guy's '98 Suburban and his wife's green Caddy Deville. The weather got screwed up for a while, but I now have the Suburban scheduled for next Saturday.

Then, a lady who was referred to me called last month about having her '96 Toyota Avalon done and then her husband's black Dodge Ram diesel. I did the Avalon today, and will do the truck sometime in the coming few weeks. I never thought it would happen, but finally a customer who takes immaculate car of their car! She told me she has to wash it at least once a week because she doesn't like it dirty, and she keeps two sets of floor mats inside for every seat AND still covers them up with another sheet. This Toyota was a '96, so it's 7 years old, and has 75k miles, but I swear, is in the condition of a well-maintained 1 or 2 year old car. No dirt to be found inside (just some dog fur) and the outside looked like she had cleaned it just a day or two ago.

Her husband's truck looks even better, because, even though its black, they never use it and it is a pure garage queen that sits for weeks at a time indoors. I saw it today, and it won't be much of a problem at all--not to mention the fact that it's even newer than the car.

Anyway, back to the Toyota, I washed with Z-7, clayed, polished with S100 cleanser, and waxed with S100. The windows have some pretty bad acid rain etching that I couldn't remove, regardless of how hard I tried or what I used, but I still cleaned them several times with Stoner and polished with Klasse AIO. Then, some AIO on the wheels, Meguiar's Endurance on the tires, and some leather wipes on the bra. Took a lot of work (I don't know why, though... ), but the results were quite good. And, the lady couldn't stop smiling or talking about how good it looked (or how cool the Thank You card with a picture of the finished car looked!). Take a look:

Oh, and to add to the list, I also have another pickup and minivan to do, on top of the others. Now, if I can just keep getting more...and not dying from the soarness of all that buffing...
