About myself and Detailed Image:
My name is George Dushensky, one of the owners of
Detailed Image. Probably like many of you, I started out as a enthusiast who became extremely passionate about automotive detailing. I began detailing for friends and family while I was in college and made some great money on the side. I had a great position in a small internet company, but always wanted to be my own boss, so I took the plunge and started Detailed Image. Our second month in operation we had 28 of 30 days booked for details. Concurrently, we were selling products that we used in details and our website began to take off. Last year, we shifted gears and parted with our service side of things to focus on supplying auto detailing enthusiasts and professionals through our website. About the same time we decided to sell our service side of the business, we merged with a web consulting company. This gave us a much better understanding about how the web works, how to drive relevant traffic to sites, and gave us a couple full time programmers to help develop, maintain and upgrade our websites. Earlier this year we moved into a significantly larger warehouse, which is giving us the opportunity to quickly expand our product offerings. When I contacted David about sponsoring Autopia, he mentioned that there was the opportunity to sponsor the Pro Detailer Section. This quickly grabbed my attention for a number of reasons.
