You can get them made by any sign shop.

I'm not sure if your clients will appreciate having a hole in their lawn due to the sign but it's a really great idea. Why not opt for something that won't have you stab it into the ground?

Re: Advertising: "Vote for..." signs

Every customer will take it in a different light so I think that the best way would be to ask them before putting up the sign. The best that they'll do is direct you to a spot where you can post it up without being bothered by the hole it left.

Some people can be really anal to an excessive point and you wouldn't want pissing them off.

Why not try a sign with a tripod at the bottom? Like the tripod that comes with halogens?

I know around me there are some places with laws against these signs as well.

Re: Advertising: "Vote for..." signs

If you're talking about real "Vote for [whomever] " political signs, I'd sure get the client's permission first! If somebody put a sign for [the, uhm.. other candidate ] up on *my* property I'd be, uhm.. [one very irate individual] .
