Are these steamers worth the money?

SHARK STEAM BLASTER STEAM CLEANER - eBay (item 260237576469 end time May-08-08 19:06:37 PDT)

Something like that... I'd like to hear comments on them if anybody has any, but I'm just looking for something to help clean jambs and engine bays without having to pay like $400 for a pro one. I searched around, but couldn't really find anything about steamers other than the expensive ones I can't afford

This one will do the job. It will handle most light duty chores but you will be refilling it frequently. You will have to let it cool down before refilling it again which is how most inexpensive steamers are. But for the price, it's worth a shot. If you don't like it, you won't be out that much.

Re: Are these steamers worth the money?

I bought one a while back. Works great. I only do my/family/friends cars so it's a perfect little unit for that.

If I was using it daily in a professional sense, then I would step up to a commercial model.

IMHO.

Yeah, I'm 17, and still at home of course, so I am gonna try to pull this off as a "mother's day gift", so maybe dad will pay for half of it. LOL

smooth!! one thing i have learned, and it mostly applies to when you get married and your wife is a mother, never buy things that a woman will use to do work if you wanna be happy!! it also goes for your mom, buy her something for her, not to use when she does work for the house or for you. she will know right away, moms have that power, i think its called a ******** detector gene?? LOL

Lol, yeah I was kidding about that (at least the part about it being her gift) ... I actually payed for her meal at chili's and for her to fill up her car when we went out tonight $60 lol

Steamfast Canister Steam Cleaner Blue 330969 - eBay (item 280224497298 end time May-12-08 18:43:00 PDT)

I'm going to get one of these steamers instead of the shark (basically the same thing), but this one comes with quite a few more attachments, particularly the triangular head one.
