How do you guys work your "regular" jobs and still manage to do weekly washes for regular clients. Ive had to turn down 2 people this past week for regular maintenance, because well.... it could not be regularly....
Just wondering how you guys manage to fit people in for regular maintenance?
My hours are different every week, thats why its hectic for me to shedule regular maintenance customers.

The days I do them on rarely changes. The time I do them often requires some juggling. Most I've been doing for over 5 years so I know their schedules. I juggle the flexible customers around those that can't be moved. It can be frustrating with rain, holidays or when some needs to change a day for something special. The schedule gets tight but usually works itself out. I've had to drop a few people over the past couple of years that constantly created scheduling problems.
Hopefully you can find people that have flexible schedules. I have a few customers that I do occasionally that call and let me know days and hours they are available that week. I fit them in where I can. Otherwise if you wanted to clean a person on a regular basis you would have to call them each time you got your work schedule and pick a time. | |

I dont conduct regular washes if thats what you mean by maintenance I make myself available only 2 days a weekend for my quarterly clients, and we make ends meet. I have ben able to oblige impossibilities, from networking on here.
I too have a 40 hr a week job, 3 kids, a wife, an e-commerce I run, and detailing services. You can do it!

Patrick - Thanks for your post, can you elaborate on having your self open 2 days each weekend, are you saying every Saturday and Sunday your open for detailing??
Thats a hectic schedule you have, I thought I was busy!! How do you manage not to do regular maintenance, you just have customers that get a nice sized detail every quarter?? I like that idea alot if thats the case.
Thanks again everyone, keep the comments and idea rolling!
