Question Making a price list . . .

Can anyone give me a guide line on a price list of detailing on the side, partime detailer (like a weekend warrior type)? A good fair and reasonable price in Danbury,CT.

Like a couple of packages:

#1 a express wash and one coat wax job.
#2 a good wash and two coat wax and clean interior
#3 the whole detail thing

Just to get a couple of ideas of what to charge when people ask. :scared

Check out the "Professional Detailers section" also do a search or go through the threads....
I rememeber reading prices varied on your location, and they also recommended calling the competition..... then lower your price below there and get your name out there...
reputation was critical....

Price will be dependant on the market in which you operate. Your best be will be to call around some shops in your area and find out what prices they are charging and set your prices accordingly.

You may want to re-think your terminologies. I'd strongly suggest you don't offer two different wash levels - especially calling one the "good wash".

Too, the advice given about seeking out local prices is/are very wise. Your location suggests some of the highest national detailing rates might apply. A modest coupon in the local weekly might be just what you need. Try a little education with the piece too about, for instance, the damage that automatic car washes can do - very few people really know or understand this
