Paintshop in Las Vegas NV?

Don't know if this is in the right forum, mods feel free to move it.

My 9C1 Caprice is in 'Vegas for a drivetrain/personality transplant. While it looks *awfully* good for a 113K mile cop car, it really does need a paintjob. This would be a perfect time to have it done, and I can't find anybody local to me who does good-enough-for-me work anyhow.

Any top-end painters in the Las Vegas area? I'm not looking for cheap; I'm looking for *GOOD*. This would be a simple job for the right shop, not even talking color change, and the car is in very nice shape (no rust, etc.). But I *am* talking: car apart, glass out, nosed and decked, and most importantly- "show quality". If the shop could handle it I'd even consider doing a frame-off and having the frame and bottom side done right.

Any recommendations? Fair warning: I'm gonna fly out there and check the work before I pay and I won't fail to notice anything.

Accumulator,

May be the car museums in Vegas can help out selecting a good local shop. You could visit them and insist they do even better work for you

Bill D- Heh heh, yeah, that's about what I'd probably say But I gotta handle this one long-distance as opposed to going out there and doing it in person, so I wanna see if I can get some first-hand-experience comments. The guys doing the mechanical work were *supposed* to have shops that they'd vouch for, but once I impressed upon them how particular I am they backed off of most their recommendations and the one shop they were counting on seems to have gone out of business

They may have gone out of business probably for doing too over- the-top jobs ( much higher charges as a result)

Heh heh! That would just be my (and their) luck! I expect this one to cost a bit, and the right shop wouldn't do it inexpensively anyhow.

People always seem to say "oh, I *could* do it but nobody would pay me enough.." but they only say that *until* they run into somebody who really knows from good work and *is* willing to pay for it. True of a lot of things, not just auto painting...

I am in Vegas, but I can't vouch for any painters. If you find any names that sound promising I will try to look at their work. There is one that has the same name as my company Sudden Impact. They started here a few years ago and there paint jobs start at $2000, but I haven't seen their work. I f I can help let me know.

I can refer you to one in Washington State. He did my son's truck and I saw the individual pieces being painted in the spraybooth. It is truely supurb.
Here is the link.

It may not be Vegas, but I have a local shop in mind that does excellent work.
