Find A Detailer Directory
Dear Professional,
Autopia.org is please to provide a directory listing service for all of our professional detailers. This service was made possible by a generous donation made by 3D International, LLC.
The directory is open to all detailers who detail cars professionally, full-time or part time. The directory is also open to other automotive appearance specialists, including:
- Car washes
- PDR technicians
- Bumper, scratch and wheel touch-up technicians
- Leather and vinyl repair
- Windshield repair
- Window tint installers
- Clear bra/guard installers
The directory is not open to car detail product retailers, wholesalers, distributors or manufacturers. We already have a directory to support those businesses.
If you add your business to the directory, you should also consider adding a link to your listing in your profile signature.
Although it is not required, a link back to Autopia.org on your own website is greatly appreciated. Doing so will also give you more brownie point with Google.
Autopia.org needs your assistance maintaining this directory. If you discover abuse, please report it.
PLEASE FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS BELOW TO ADD YOUR LISTING

Find-A-Detailer Directory Instructions
Adding a directory list is very easy, and there are only several requirements:
1. You must have a business website
2. You must be in the professional detailing or auto appearance care business
3. You are NOT a reseller, distributor, or manufacturer of car care products (these listings go here: http://www.autopia.org/directory/)
Step 1
Browse to the directory: http://www.autopia.org/find-professional-detailer/
Step 2
Find "Submit a Link" in the directory menu bar and click it. Now input your website URL, select your geographical area, and click the submit button.
If I have not created a location to support your geographical area, please contact me.
Step 3
Input your information. All of your information is important, but you should pay special attention to three blocks:
1. Web Site Name -- Be descriptive. This is more than just a title people will see in the directory. It is also a title that Google will see. Think about including your city and state in the title.
2. Postal Codes -- People will be searching for you by postal code. If you serve more than one postal code, create a list separated by commas (90210, 90211,90215).
3. Description -- Don't be shy... tell people what you are about.
Step 4
After you enter your information, click the Submit button at the bottom of the page.
If your listing does not show up right away, don't panic. It means that listings are being moderated.
Step 5
Link back to Autopia.org on your own site. When you do this, the search engines, like Google, see that their is reciprocal linking. Reciprocal linking is a benefit to YOU (not to me) when you focus on receiving a small number of links from high ranking sites with similar topics. Autopia.org will obviously fit that niche for you. I have more links to Autopia.org than I need to rang well with Google, so I'm not suggesting this for my benefit.
Step 6
Add a link to your directory listing in your Autopia.org signature.
Good luck!Last edited by Autopia Expert; 11-23-09 at 12:30.

Re: Find A Detailer Directory
So far, so good, David.
Two questions:
1. How do I modify my listing? I'd like to add a few more postal codes and add a reciprocal link.
2. Could you elaborate a little on the reciprocal link entry? I already have a link on Autopia.org on my website but what would be the best way to linkback? I am linked to http://www.autopia.org under a general 'links' section at the moment. Also, what value/link are you looking for us to input on the 'reciprocal link' field?- Todd Schmidt -

Re: Find A Detailer Directory
Hey, Todd, I totally missed your post. Sorry about that.
The listings work like posts. If you are the owner, you will see an edit button on your page (at least, I do
)
The search engines really don't care if you have a true reciprocal link or not. If you do, it's a refback... meaning your directory page here links to your site, and your site has a link back to your directory page. You will find examples of refbacks on popular posts here (at the bottom of the page). Example: Detailing Clay & Pre-wax Cleaning.
Refbacks establish a higher quality link than a simple reciprocal link agreement. That's why I said before that this is not going to help me... I have more than 10,000 refback links. This will help you guys.
