what are you folks:

using (product wise) & charging

for one steppers

what do you folks include as far as the detail goes? just trying to get things in order for the new year which will be here soon.

I'm actually trying to change my business structure so it would be neat to hear from different people.

Re: Advertising on Craigslist???

I used craigslist in my area over the summer. I just posted ads for simple services such as a hand wash, hand wash and wax, and interior cleaning. It kept me busy! Many of the ppl were focused on the price so I just offered those services and once I did their car I would leave a flier with them to let them know other services that I offer.

That's probably a good way to approach it. If people are looking on CL they at least know that the $3.99 wash at the gas station isn't good, but they at the same time are looking for a deal. Until I got into it (for myself, not a Pro), I didn't realize how expensive and time intensive it is. If you can get an appointment for a hand wash you have the chance to up-sell them on clay and polishing. Or say "I can come back and fix _____ for $___" and see if they bite.

Re: Advertising on Craigslist???

I have good luck with it. I try to post pictures of the more expensive cars I detail in effort to get those kind of customers coming in as opposed to somebody with the 95' Escort with coffee stains and dog hair all over the inside.
