Re: Chevy Astro Questions

Here are some pics of my GMC Savana. I had an Astro up until about three years ago when I got rid of my shop and went totally mobile. I have a building again and so will be purchasing another Astro soon. This van currently holds a 100 gallon tank as my pwasher puts out 4 gpm. I'll be going down to a 60 gallon or just adding another hose reel to hook up wherever I go.

Wow! now thats a setup. I was wandering if a GMC Savana would be to big? but it looks like it does the job very nicely

I can get the van anywhere I need to with the exception of underground parking lots. 6'10 clearance means repainting my roof LOL . Compared to the Astro, the Savana is like driving a Cadillac. I love mine. The only downside is that it gets a few mpg less than the Astro. Having said that, a few mpg less is not a big deal when you consider the extra room you have.

Re: Chevy Astro Questions

I have an astro myself and am wondering, do you recommend getting a 100gal tank? can I get by just fine with two 5gal buckets to detail a car? 3gal for the extractor maybe 4. and 2 gal for the no rinse and a nomad power washer with its 3.5gal capacity to hit really dirty spots, wells, engine bay and what not. I feel like its really not that necessary to carry a huge thing like that? I'm new so help me out here.

Re: Chevy Astro Questions

I feel 100 would be fine. The only reason i have that tank is because i purchased a Pontiac transport with all of the equipment in it. I didn't like the transport so i got the astro. I only have at the most 85 gallons of water in it. I am looking for a 100 horizontal tank myself

Re: Chevy Astro Questions

You might get lucky and find something on your local craigslist. This website seems to have some pretty good prices
