buffer set-up questions

im looking to purchase my first power buffer set-up and im kinda intimadated by all the diffrent options. im looking for one that is considered professional, but yet not so expensive. can you guys tell me what i should look for and what i should stay away from. also the diffrent size pads and what pads are for what application. whats the diffrence between the ones that they sell at say, wallmart with the 2 side handles compared to say one that has the long handle and a front grab style bar..

What's your experience with buffers? Have you ever actually used one? If so how was that one set up? did you like it? I'm asking because there are so many different combo set ups that it would be hard to recommend a set up. What works for me might not even be close to you. And like with all tools on the market you get what you pay for. You buy cheap you get a cheap product. My set up's are a Makita and Dewalt Buffers. Not a huge fan of the makita. Just hate the gradual start up of it. Love the Dewalt. Both serve their purpose though. The handles are all interchangable. you can get a bale handle for just about anything anymore.

I agree with what was said. Also, another choice I would HIGHLY recommend would the be PC 7424/7336, The Flex. If you aren't experience with buffers, I would pick one of the ones I listed and then once you can master the OB's (orbital buffers) you can gradually move up to the rotary buffers.
