I did a BMW 320TD (yes turbo diesel) today and on talking to the owner it will out accelerate a standard 325i even with an auto box. However I forgot my camera so will have to do pics when I go back to do his wifes Grand Cherokee Jeep, again diesel doing over 25mpg.

I have had a diesel for years and will miss the VW/Audi type 1.9TDi engine that will out perform a 2.0L petrol, and do over 50+mpg.

I am even thinking of importing a 2006 (Spannish Left Hand Drive) VW Passat Turbo Diesel to the US when we move just so we can have a car that will blast a 2.5L gas one from the lights but will return over 55mpg.
