2001 BMW 740i

This is a detail of a 2001 BMW 740i that I did today. I wish that I had taken some before shot but I got so into the detail that I forgot to take some. Needless to say this detail kicked my ***. The wheels were jet black from brake dust and I couldn't even tell what they were underneath. I swear I used almost a whole bottle of Poorboys Spray and Rinse with them.

This is without a doubt the worst detail I have done to date. The only good thing is that 2 great details are awaiting on the horizon from this client. 2007 Audi R8 and a 2007 Porsche 997 GT2.

Process=8.5 hours NO BREAKS

Wash car with NXT wash and P21S via foam gun
Wheels cleaned with Poorboys SR via powerwasher and WhiteKnight Powerstick (I still couldn't get the wells completely clean)
Interior cleaned with Woolite and Water and Mr Clean Magic Eraser
Interior vinyl dressed with Sonus Total Eclipse and Leather dressed with Four Star Leather conditioner
Carpets cleaned with Folex and Zep Carpet cleaner. Drivers side got the powerwasher
Clay with Clay Magic
Polish with OC via UDM and Orange Pad
Polish with Ultima PPP via UDM with Green Pad
LSP=Ultima PGP
Engine Cleaned with P21S and dressed with Armour All Tire Foam
Window cleaned with NXT Glass Cleaner
Exterior trim dressed with NXT Tech Protectorant
Wheel cleaned with NXT Metal Polish
Tires dressed with Eagle One Wet
Wheel wells dressed with Street Appeal Tire Dressing

Sorry no suns shots. By the time I was done the sun was gone.

I used Meg Plastix on the interior trim. It really did a nice job.

Nice work, Patrick! Inside and out, it looks brand new!

Be glad the car had the 18" sport wheels instead of the 16" BBS style nightmares!

Looks great Patrick!

I'm not sure what the outside looked like before, but it looks amazing now that you got your hands on it. Looks extremely deep and wet. How long have you been using the Ultima PGP, and how do you find the durability to be so far?

For some reason, I still like the older style 7's as much as the new ones.

Rickrack...

Thanks for the compliments. I should have taken befores of the wheels. You literally couldn't even tell that they were silver.

This is the second time I have used PGP. The paint did have a nice gloss pop to it when I first applied it but it didn't blow me away. I have been told that the look improves as it cures. If others can chime in on their observations.

The only other car I used it on was my Mom's silver Corolla. It really hasn't been maintained in several months and its still beading nicely.
