Wrecked Dodge Viper - (more pics added)

This poor guy wrcked his Viper while road racing it his insurance comapny denied the claim. It cost him over $35,000 to have a whole new rear clip replaced. The repair and refinishing came out nearly perfect. The stripes are buried into the clear and each part (except the doors) were painted off the car to avoid hard lines. All work was done at a local S. Florida Mercedes body shop. Enjoy.

Re: Wrecked Dodge Viper

You can't really blame the insurace company for not covering it.

I know if I ever put my car into the wall drag racing it will be towed onto the main road before I call the insurance company.

: That sucks! The repair though looks good. Man 35000 thats crazy when you think about it. Thats a little less than half a new one. That flake in those reflections is great and I want those slicks.

Re: Wrecked Dodge Viper

He would have made out better parting it out instead of fixing it. Parts for these cars are in high demand.

It really is......

I've thought about owning a Viper for years but, with threads like this and knowing the repair costs, it's kind of hard to pull the trigger......

I understand why some are hardly ever driven......

Re: Wrecked Dodge Viper

I heard the average claim on a Viper is over $20,000 per incident, about 10 times what most other cars average. I guess the high capabilities of the Viper mean they are wrecked far more spectacularly!

Re: Wrecked Dodge Viper

I think most Viper owner's could benefit from the "driver mod".

Must not have been much more than cosmetics though looking at the under structure.
