2008 Subaru WRX

Beautiful white pearl color. Took these pictures at 2pm.

The car was picked up last Saturday and as instructed the only thing the dealer did was - remove the plastic.

Process
QEW style Dawn wash
Citra Solve with an MF to remove about 4" of adhisive residue
EZ Creme Glaze pc 6 white pad
FK1 #1000 black pad pc 4
ZCS to protect all interior paint/plastic etc.
Armorall tire shine

PS: This car was traded in for this beauty.

Re: 2008 Subaru WRX

eeekk, not a fan of the new WRX at all.

Aside from that, the detail looks great. Which Armor All did you use on the tires, the Origional or one of the others?

Re: 2008 Subaru WRX

Both cars look great! I would take the older WRX over the new body style anyday. I just dont like the nose or the tail of the new WRX's. Maybe I need to see one in person.

Armorall in a can

The car actually looks very nice in person. The more time I spent with it the more I liked it. Just the right size.

Re: 2008 Subaru WRX

Huh, I'm kinda surprised how much I like that...looks good to me in white too.

tdekany- Nice job, lucky that they didn't mar it up when they took the plastic off.

How did the Cirta-Solve work on the adhesive? I've gone to AutoInt's New Car Prep for that as my citrus stuff didn't always work that great.

The residue was barely visible, even EZ creme took care of some in one other place.

Citra solve worked great, it came off easy.

Ah, good. The stuff Subaru used in the '90s was a nightmare to get off without solvents!

Re: 2008 Subaru WRX

Congrats on your purchase. I have not seen these on the road yet. Nice job on the detail.

I'm not sure onthe styling? Looks kind of like a Suzuki Reno mated with a Mazda3 hatch.

Re: 2008 Subaru WRX

It's nice to actually see one (besides commercials and magazines). I've yet to see any on the road, and we're the car capital of the world pretty much.

I'm a huge fan of hatchbacks, but I'm not completely sold on the new WRX just yet, mainly the grill and the tail lights. The grill reminds me too much of American styling and the "Altezza" tail lights were played out long ago. I will say though that that car looks way better when they had the sportier grill on it (STi grill maybe?)

Re: 2008 Subaru WRX

I think a lot of people don't realize that the new WRX is also available in a sedan version. The STI is only the 5 door hatch, but the regular WRX can be gotten in a sedan or the 5 door hatch. I kind of like the hatch/wagon style.

Re: 2008 Subaru WRX

I would still pick the hatch over the sedan, I just think it's the new styling in general that a lot of people aren't feeling at the moment. But, this isn't the first time that I first looked at a Subaru and thought it was hideous, only to fall in love with the look later.
