Audi RS4, Porsche Carrera, Altima, G35

I did this 2004 Audi a couple of weeks ago. I forgot I was out of film so my customer sent me a couple of the pictures he took. The car was in pretty decent shape except for some kind of paint overspray down the passenger side and all over the back of the trunk lid and rear bumper. Took a combination of claying and Clearkote's Pink Moose (50/50 blend of Vanilla Moose and Red Machine Glaze) by hand using an MF towel to get it all off. Otherwise, the paint was in really good condition. The car only has 10,000 miles on it. I used Pink Moose with green Edge Cyclo polishing pads and waxed with Carnauba Moose.

=============

2004 Porsche Carrera. I usually detail this one about every 6 weeks or so but due to the insane amount of rain we've had since late April, it had been about 4 months since I'd seen the car. A few weeks ago, he was early picking up his kid from school and dropped by the local car wash for a wash and hand wax. He said the car was still beading but he felt better getting it waxed since it had been so long since I'd detailed the car and it had rained so much. Well, he felt better until he got home and looked the car over better and saw wax residue all over the car. There was still some on the car when I detailed it this past week.

I think you should be able to make out the wax residue on the black trim, towards the top of the picture.

First quick application of Ultima Tire and Trim Guard Plus, took a couple applications after this to get it completely even but you can see what even a quick pass did. The picture following this one shows how nice and even it ended up.

I polished the paint with my UDM using a white Sonus polishing pad and Duragloss 101 and a few panels with Zaino All in One too, also using a white polishing pad. I can't tell the two apart in the way they work, slickness or gloss. Anyway, I finished the car off with Ultima Paint Guard Plus.

The interior was dirtier than normal but still not too bad. Leather/vinyl cleaned with Woolite/water mix, carpets with BioKleen Traffic Lane Cleaner. Vinyl protected with Optimum Protectant Plus, leather with Meguiars Gold Class Leather Conditioner.

9 AM today and at the law office I am detailing several cars for over the next few weeks. I guess they went easy on me today...

Both interiors were nearly stain free, so deep cleaning went fast. The Altima was washed over the weekend and the G35 was reasonably clean too so the ONR wash also went quickly. I had detailed them both last summer and the paint overall was pretty good. Plus I am only getting paid for two steps on the exterior. I polished them with my UDM using a green Sonus swirlbuster polishing pad and Clearkote's Pink Moose and waxed with Carnauba Moose. Last year I was using Poorboy's EX w/carnauba since it works so well in the sun but CMW is great in the sun as well and I think it looks noticably deeper. It was a little after 3 PM (and I took a 30 minute lunch break) when I took this pics while I still had the cars in the sun without having to move them around front. After taking the pictures, I cleaned the glass and dressed the interiors and finished up just after 4 PM. Not too bad for about 6 1/2 hours of actual work. It helps that I got both cars at the same time and could basically assembly line them.

No layers here, just good ol' carnauba depth! Plus CMW holds up very well too.
