M45, E46 330 coupe, MDX, Silverado
2006 Infiniti M45. Last done on November 19th of last year with Poli-Seal and Acrylic Jett. Here it is, August 1st and the car was still beading nicely. He runs it through tunnel washes 2-3 times a month, other than that, he does nothing to it. The paint looked really good overall too. Just a light paint transfer on the rear bumper and some tar along the rocker panels. After an ONR wash, I went over the car with Optimum Poli-Seal using green Edge Cyclo polishing pads and finished it off with Opti-Seal. I don't know if he will wait 8 1/2 months again to have it detailed but it ought to be a good test bed to see how Opti-Seal lasts compared to Acrylic Jett.
Interesting side note: The regular receptionist wasn't there and a really cute girl was sitting in for her. While waiting on the keys for the M45 and an MDX, I was sort of chatting her up. Nothing major because she was working plus I figured she was about 20 years younger than me. Anyway, I get the keys and get started on the cars. A few minutes later, the owner of the MDX came out and said "You know, the girl up front is Bill's (the owner of the M45) daughter and she is only 18". Oops!
Mix of shade and sun shots. Tried to capture the pearl flake as best I could under somewhat hazy sunshine.

2004 Acura MDX. I was supposed to wash/wax a Silverado along with the M45 but that guy was out of town, so the owner of the MDX, even though I had applied 2 coats of Opti-Seal to it in mid June, asked me to do a quick wash and wax on his. He also requested I use the "special wet stuff" I used the last time. I've been doing his vehicles for the last 12 years and he has never raved over anything I have used like he has with Opti-Seal.
ONR wash and Opti-Seal. Not sure if I will see it again since his lease is up in 2 months on it, so I figured I'd get a few more pics of it.

Just doing some product testing with this 2003 Chevy Silverado. I put NXT on it the week before and wanted to see how Opti-Seal works with NXT. Seemed to really amp up the wetness at some expense of the darkness NXT adds to black paint.
The lighting and angle are different but the first pic is just NXT from a week ago and the 2nd picture is Opti-Seal over NXT.
NXT only:
NXT + Opti-Seal:

2006 E46 330ci. The owner has been away being trained for the Secret Service (seriously!) so she has been letting her Mom drive it once or twice a week to keep the battery charged. Unfortunately, she parked where some sprinklers got the hood pretty good. I used Optimum Compound and orange Cyclo cutitng pads on the hood to remove the water spots, then went over the whole car with Poli-Seal and green Edge Cyclo polishing pads and sealed it with Opti-Seal.
Pics aren't that great. The owner was heading home from Atlanta and her Mom wasn't home either so I didn't feel comfortable moving the car out front into the full sun, or into the neighbor's driveway right behind their house (where, as you can see, it is in the full sun as well). Oh well.

Your work is always awesome, Scott. Mostly because of your posts, I tried Opti-Seal even though I still have plenty of JW AJT left. The Opti-Seal is amazingly easy to apply without streaks and the finish is much much wetter and slicker than AJT (especially after several washes). I'll just have to move the JW AJT for use on wheels where it can join the Klasse Sealant I still have.
Thanks for sharing your work!

Scott,
What have you found to be the best way to use the Opti-seal? I've used the yellow pads you get from AG, but it's not that easy to apply. Pad keeps slipping out of hand. Thanks!

Amazing work as always, Scott. You've just convinced me to pull the Opti-seal back off the shelf. I love using it on yellows but I'll have to play around with it a bit more (especially if you have customers specifically asking for it!)
Also, been in that situation with the receptionist before but it's usually "yeah, she turns 18 it two months..." I guess as a guy in my mid-20s that's not as big of a deal, but it just seems wrong to me. lol
Better than the other situation where I get hit on by 50 year old receptionsists...
"I'm here to pick up keys for Robert So-n-so."
"Shoot, I thought you were here to pick me up. It's been a while since I've been picked up!"
... I was speechless...
