Tropically Detailed: '06 M5/ 05' AMG/ '07 Lotus Exige

Had three of these lined up today... The was no machine correction in the game plan so I just sat back, enjoyed the day and washed some fun cars...

Process M5/AMG

Washed Zaino Z7
Clayed Zaino Z18 w/ Zaino Z7 lube
Rims cleaned with P21s Wheel Gel
Windows cleaned Meguiars' NXT Window Cleaner
Leather Cleaned/Conditioned Zaino Z9/Z10
Tires dressed Zaino Z16 x 2
Zaino AIO on rims, metalwork, glass
Z5pro X 2
Z8 final wipe

Process Exige

Washed Zaino Z7
Rims cleaned with P21s Wheel Gel
Windows cleaned Meguiars' NXT Window Cleaner
Leather Cleaned/Conditioned Zaino Z9/Z10
Tires dressed Zaino Z16 x 2
Zaino AIO on rims, metalwork, glass, interior painted panels, door jambs
Z5pro X 2
Z2pro
Meguiars Hyperdressing 3:1 on the engine

First up this morning was the M5. I really didn't take any before pics because no majory sugery was required...

I went and parked the M5 and pulled the Benz outside.

Here is the Benz soaped up with Z7 from the Gilmore

On to the afters...

Re: Tropically Detailed: '06 M5/ 05' AMG/ '07 Lotus Exige

I pulled both cars inside, took photos of the interiors and some final good bye shots

Then I packed up my bags and made about a 30 minute drive to final detail of the day, a Lotus Exige in bright yellow. The car had a light tangerine flake that made some of my shots come out a little orangish, but color was very similar to a Corvette's Millenium Yellow

Awesome Todd!!! I wish I would get a day with washes of three nice vehicles and not have to break out the buffer! I love the shots. It seems your interest in photography is picking up! Maybe a new camera in the near future to give your work justice?

Todd, you are becoming a true master in Autopia! the shine and wetness of the 3 cars is outstanding! The flake shot of the BMW is far the best shoot i seen anywhere! it looks like crystal rocks zoom in. Always looking forward for your work to be posted!

Save some easy ones for later....

Nice work Pepe. Interior is a little different on the M5, but sometimes a contrast is good.

Like ZZ said, the flake is outstanding on the M5.

Thanks Chris!!! Sometimes I enjoy taking pictures more then actually detailing. Its just something else fun to play around with. Speaking of a new camera, I always foward these links to my dad, so maybe he will look at and get me a Nikkon for Christmas.

Those look great yo...

The blue flake on the black M3 is really cool.
I also really like the close up pictures of the MB badge and the "AMG".

Nicely done.

Re: Tropically Detailed: '06 M5/ 05' AMG/ '07 Lotus Exige

The cars look fantastic, really love the high end European stuff. Neither here nor there as far as your work goes, but the SL isnt actually an AMG. Looks like a standard SL550 with the AMG "package" on it, basically just wheels and a body kit. Still a great car, but the SL55 has the supercharger that the 550 lacks.

Great work (again).

Really, you turn out meticulous details and should be very proud of your work.

Since switching to Zaino, I haven't looked back.

Most products looks great after a 'fresh' detail (if used as directed).

Nothing else (that I've tried) holds up as well as Zaino.

If the owners don't marr/swirl up the paint, your follow up visits are going to be smooth sailing.
