1994 Mercedes E320 Convertible

Todays detail is a 1994 Mercedes E320 convertible. The car was in pretty good shape with for a 1994 26,000 on the odo but did have its fair share of swirling. This was my first work on a Mercedes and I will have to break out the more aggresive polishes the next time. The clear on this baby was hard as a rock and even with the UDM I had a hard time with it.

I think its time to learn how to use my rotary.

Total Time: 6 hours

Process:

Wash with NXT wash soap and P21S via foam gun with Schmitt
Clay with Megs white clay
Polish with UDM and Sonus orange pad with Megs #80
Polish with PC and LC 4 inch orange pad for spot correction
LSP Wax with Megs #26
Interior cleaned with Woolite 6:1 and dressed with 4 Star Leather conditioner
Interior trim dressed with Sonus Total Eclipse
Carpets cleaned with Folex
Engine dressed with Stoners Trim Shine
Wheels cleaned with Megs All Purpose Wheel Cleaner
Tires dressed with Eagle One Wet Tire Shine
Wheel wells cleaned with Simple Green 10:1 and dressed with Street Appeal Tire Dressing
Glass cleaned with NXT Glass Cleaner

Lookin Good!! Is that the Yellow 550 you did a while back?

Once you step up to the rotary and get it right, you will wonder how you ever lived without!!

Beautiful work, those E320s are quite rare and still go for top dollar.

Re: 1994 Mercedes E320 Convertible

Nice job !!! I love those old Benzes, and have a bit of a following in the MB collector crowd. That car looks extremely familiar. Was it purchased from a collector from Northern NJ (Saddle River) about 2 years ago ???

One of my favorite Benzes !!! Glad to to see its being maintained by a detailer of your caliber !!!

Cheers !!!
