Porsche Carrera, H-D Screaming Eagle, a few beading pics
2001 Porsche Carrera. This is a referral from my Optimum distributor (thanks Larry). The owner of the car didn't seem too interested in having me go all out on the car. Basically, he wanted a nice shine and decent protection that would last 5-6 months on his weekend car. I went with Optimum Poli-Seal using a white LC VC polishing pad and it did a nice job cleaning up a few light scratches and reduced the halo swirls about 80%. Probably really needs to be gone over with Optimum Compound first but he was really pleased with the improvement Poli-Seal made. I finished the car off with Meguiars #16.
===============
I polished this ML430 with Optimum Polish and finished with Poli-Seal on March 17th. Since then, we have had at least 2 days of rain pretty much every week since, including 21 days of rain in May and about 12 inches since May 1st. Point is, we've had A LOT of rain. Plus, this car is driven by their teenage daughter so it sits outside at her high school during the day. Of course, when I went out to clean their Harley and BMW 650 this past Saturday (June 16th), it was raining. I ONR washed it in April and May and it gets run through the tunnel wash once or twice a month as well. No QD at all. Not bad beading at 3 months with lots of rain for a one step, eh?
I polished out my own car around March 1st and topped with Clearkote's Carnauba Moose. ONR wash and Meguiars #16 the next week and ONR and Optimum Car Wax the week after that. Since the middle of March, I think I have washed it with ONR once and used my own car wash soap (Turtle Wax Platinum) a couple times on it at the local coin-op late at night...getting miles in on my road bike takes precidence over my car right now!) and the hood got Meguiars Ultimate QD in early May. Just the hood though. My car sits outside 24/7. Took these two shots the same time as the ML above.

Harley-Davidson Screaming Eagle. I last detailed it about a year ago, the owner does a really good job keeping it up. He had the engine redone about 6 months ago, puts out 103 hp at the rear wheel. He also upgraded it to a 6 speed. The bike has around 30,000 miles on it and is 5 or 6 years old.
As you can see in the before shot, it was pretty clean to begin with. As usual, I remove the seat, any bags, windscreen, etc to get better access to the bike.
During an ONR wash.
The leather bags were looking pretty dry, so I drenched them with Meguiars Gold Class Leather Conditioner. I also used it on the seat, but I applied it with an MF pad and then went over it with a dry cloth about 10 minutes later so it wasn't slick.
All the chrome and the helmet were polished with Clearkote's Vanilla Moose. The tank had a few light scratches so I went over them by hand using an MF towel and Zaino ZPC. I followed with Optimum Poli-Seal and a foam hand pad. I sealed the paint with Opti-Seal and then 30 minutes later, followed with the beta test version of Optimum Car Wax. No tire dressing, pretty much a no-no for bikes. As clean as the bike was to begin with, it still took nearly 3 hours to detail it.
While I was there, I also did an ONR wash and Opti-Seal on his BMW 650. Just this one shot, it was raining again when I finished.

Looks great, can only imagine what it would look like if you went all out.

Very nice! (Borat's voice) The HD looks awesome. It must blind people on the road!
Scott, what do you use for burnt rubber marks on bikes?

Nice work on the bike Scott. I gave a HD a "quick detail" in the past and it still took some time.

Wow Scott!
All of them are great details but that first picture is something else.
