Today started off with a 2 hour haul to Tampa to detail two cars for the same client. The first car is a Mercedes Benz AMG55 Power Wagon with some mods done to motor. Its pushing about 600 horses to all four tires. The second car was a Lambroghini Gallardo. Both cars where pretty dirty and needed a good cleaning. I spot polished a couple areas on the paint of both cars, but both where in pretty good shape. I left the rotary in the trunk, and used the PC with 4 inch white CCS pads and Menzerna 106ff to remove whatever light swirls there where.
I'm gonna skip a formal process and just caption the pics as the thread progresses. Maybe later (when I'm not so tired) I'll throw the process up, but if you really want know read the captions
The Benz was pretty dirty and had some love bugs on the front. The car was washed using
Optimum soap in my new foam gun. The rims got
PS21's Gel. The only before I have is of the rim and picture right after it is the rim after being cleaned and getting a coat of
Z16 on the tire,
Z-AIO on the rim, and
Meg's Hyperdressing 3:1 in the wheel wells.
The Lambo was in rough shape also. After washing and drying the Benz and wiping it down with
Z6, we played muscial cars and pulled the Benz in the garage and the Gallardo out for a wash with
Optimum Soap in the foam gun. It was blown dry and wiped down
Z6.
PS21's Gel was used on the rims and
Stoner's Tarminatior was used to remove the tar and rubber stains as the car has been tracked at Sebring.
While the Lambo was outside, I spot poished a couple areas with a
Lake Country white CCS pad and
Menzerna 106ff on the
PC. I applied 2 coats of
Zaino Z5pro (ZFX'ed). The exhaust pipes and chrome brush guards where polished with
Meguiars NXT All Metal Polysh and the windows where cleaned with
Stoner's Window Cleaner. The rims and bush guards got a coat of
Zaino Z2pro.
This is a cool picture because the roof is flat but it reflects the garage door so well you can't really make it out.
The interior was vacuumed and all surfaces where wiped down with
Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer.
Then I moved to interior on the Gallardo. It was a little rougher from some time spent at the beach. The interior was vacummed and wiped down with
Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer. The carbon fiber was hand polished with
Meg's ScratcX then brought to a high luster by a final polished with
Zaino AIO. The floor mats where shampooed with
Meguiar's APC 7:1.
