Re: 1986 Red SS paint MB SL560

SIP is the best polish ever!!!!!!!!!!!

It was hot and since nothing wanted to work on this SS paint I figured the worst that can happen is dust.

Well, it didn't dust at all. I however did one pass with op on the same pad first. For the rest of the car I used SIP.

wash
clay (didn't need it)
sip 1800 rpm yellow in some areas
sip orande pad 1800 rmp whole car
sip green pad 1500 rpm whole car
poli seal pc white ccs pad 6
CG Ez Creme red ccs pad pc 6
CG Eztreme coat pc 5 black ccs pad
Z6 wipe
Grape dressing on tires/trim
Poli Seal on chrome
S&G on windows

Before

During - that is Poli Seal residue. I was trying to get a sun shot

Simply beautiful.... I feel your pain on SS paint. I did a SS Porsche this past weekend and my pads looked just like your but blue. Took me awhile to get them clean again.

Supberb work on one of the coolest looking cars Mercedes ever made! Interior looks spot on, the paint correction is excellent with a very clear finish. Really enjoyed reading and seeing this one!

That's a lot of steps!

It paid off though! Great work as always Thomas. The red is liquid

Wow, you did all those steps in 8 hours!! Super Thomas to the rescue! lol I hate single stage paint because of the paint transfer but they do make the most dramatic before/afters.
