Passat, M6, X5 - lots of pictures
Part of the car is getting repainted so we just kicked it up a notch
The paint looked good to start with and is protected by SG
As far as I know we will do a full detail for Waterfest. (vw show)
The owner is a member here.

Re: Passat, M6, X5 - lots of pictures
I am the owner of the Passat. Thomas, I just want to say it was good that I finally got to meet you. Picture #6 clearly shows the difference in paint color and that will greatly help my court case.
The X5 looks amazing!

Re: Passat, M6, X5 - lots of pictures
Polishing Process:
repainted areas:
SSR3 black optimum wool pad 2100rpm X2/3
Super intensive polish orange ssc pad 1800rpm
Super intensive polish white pad 1500>1200rpm
106ff white ssc pad pc 6
Rest of the car:
Super intensive polish orange pad 1500/1800 rpm
106ff white pad pc 6
Protection
Zaino Z5pro
Zaino Clear Seal
Zaino Z8
Tires are wearing grape dressing
Trim is done with Z16
Interior:
Vacuumed
Steamed
All weather mats were pre treated with Purple power
Then pressure washed
Protected by Grape dressing
here is the difference between the rear door and the newly painted front door.
Repainted front fender before
Front fender after - although I admit that this picture doesn't show a huge difference, remember that I was just reducing orange peel, not eliminating it.
More after where you can see the match with the rear door

Re: Passat, M6, X5 - lots of pictures
One of my favorite cars!!!!! The owner is Harry Houdini (he also owns the X5)
Again I finished way too late - around 10:30pm and all I coud do is produce dark pictures. Me and pictures.........
The owner of this car should have a sticky on Autopia on how to maintain a black car.
The M6 was washed and clayed for me so I immedietly started removing random imperfections that wasn't induced by the owner.
I was going for maximum wetness while the owner wanted long lasting protection. So!
Process:
ec rotary 1500rpm in some places
106 rotary green pad 1500rpm
106 pc 6 green pad
At this point Harry Houdini "washed" all the dust off the car and dried it for me so I could make it look as good as any M6 out there.

NL on tires
Zaino CS on wheels
We did the interior too but no pictures.
After all said and done

Re: Passat, M6, X5 - lots of pictures
It appears that Mr Houdini is in very good hands.
God the OP on the X5 door is horrible, good luck to the owner in court.

Re: Passat, M6, X5 - lots of pictures
Great work, nothing unexpected from a guy professional as you
That X5 I was looking to get repainted both those areas before, but no need
anymore since it is fixed and will be traded in for the 2008 X5.
Also thank you for your advices. I am amazed by how much knowledge you have on
almost every product out there, a true professional.
Note: I will be adding Pink Wax and my favorite go to wax Pinnacle Liquid Souveran Spray.
while I really believe that this M6 looks better than any M6's out there unless they are painted chrome
