Black C6 Vette (with Z06 rear fenders), black Excursion, white Scion tC

2004 Ford Excursion. Regular customer but I don't see this beast as often as his wife's ML430 or his CL500. It had been months since it was last polished and waxed (one stepped with Poli-Seal if I remember right). The paint wasn't too bad, but it has some light scratches from the local tunnel wash and he gouged out the paint on the rear right fender a month or so ago.

I went with Zaino PC using green Edge Cyclo pads and topped with Optimum Opti-Seal.

==============

2006 Scion tC. Detailed it last July, by the time I finished it was nearly dark, this time it was pouring rain. Seems like I am never going to get any good after pics of this car!

Same process as the Excursion, ZPC and OS.

2007 Chevy Corvette. Z06 rear fenders and wheels (powder coated) and a healthy dose of nitrous.

Owned by a friend of mine in Austin, he was up in the Dallas area this week for a business conference so I did an exterior detail on his car at the Raddison in Irving. It was pretty dirty from the drive and the freeway construction by the hotel...

The paint had light to moderate swirls and I had about 4 hours or so to do the car so he could head back to Austin that night (didn't get started until a little after 3 PM). No realistic chance of getting the finish to 100% but in that time I managed to get it pretty close to 90% swirl and defect free. Of course, by the time I finished, it mostly cloudy, every so often the sun would peak out for a few seconds. It is like the sun forgot about Texas this year or something.

I started with Zaino Z-PC using orange Edge Cyclo pads. I wanted to start with something reasonably aggressive that would remove defects without hazing the paint. I followed with Clearkote's Vanilla Moose using green Edge Cyclo polishing pads and finished with Carnauba Moose buffed off with a 50/50 blend of Optimum Car Wax and Werkstatt's Carnauba Jett (thanks to gen2 for letting me steal his idea!). The wheels were cleaned and sealed with Wheel Wax.

The sun sort of peeked out for a few seconds...

Optimum No Rinse. Unless I specifically mention washing it with something else, I used ONR.

Wow! I have a question...You said the wheels and the fenders were poweder coated? How do you powder coat fenders, and what is the benefit? Tire dressing is what? looks great!
