Re: BMW 745 Zainod

PS: the breakdust on the front wheels are not coming out (several years old) as you can see in some pictures especially the fronts. Laughes at ssr3 and FK1's Acid.

So anyone with some idea that doesn't take half a day can chime in. Thank you.

Re: BMW 745 Zainod

Looks great!

What was your method for applying CS via PC? Did you just spritz it on the pad, on the surface or both?

TIA!

Re: BMW 745 Zainod

Hydrofluoric acid. Also labeled as Chrome wheel cleaner
It is a dangerous product if not used correctly. It will remove some stubborn wheel grime.
A local detailer supplier should have it.
People freak out over this stuff but used correctly it can be safe.

Oxalic acid is a safer product and I'm told you can buy it in powdered form
from a Drug Store. I have considered trying it but have to write it down to remember to pick
some up.

Re: BMW 745 Zainod

thanks Ron - I do use an acid based apc that workes wonders on bmw wheels but this takes first place for stubberness. I'll get some of that apc tomorrow and also some HF. I'll be going back to do their Cayenne next tuesday.

The paint looks great!

I no longer use acid wash on the wheels. When they get that bad, I do what I can and leave it.

It's just not worth the health/hazard risks IMO.

Re: BMW 745 Zainod

Thomas,

Great work! What are your thoughts on the zaino system? I hope to see more in the future! As for acidic wheel cleaners, I rarely use them anymore because of the health risk, but they are needed once in a while. Have you tried meguiars wheel brightener?

Greg
