LoL Yes, CP Detailing did an excellent job. I'd be into detailing the car myself except that I'm potentially allergic to many different substances. I'll be using the services of Cp detailing on a regular basis to keep my Exige S in perfect show car condition.

Thanks for sharing.

I've been looking to purchase a sports vehicle and so far on the shopping list I got a the Ferrari Spider and the Lambo Gallardo but haven't decided just yet. Still shopping/re-searching.
Your feed back would be great appreciated oh and sorry to go of topic here

The Lotus Exige S is not for everyone. It's definitely a niche car. Everything else is bigger and heavier. IMO most other cars are more like GT cars than pure Sports cars. However, for me there is no substitute for light weight and low mass. The Exige only weights about 2000 lbs. This plays very well in terms of handling, braking, acceleration, every aspect of the car. The way I can toss this car is amazing. The handling and nimbleness is incredible. It feels like something you strap on. Like an extension of your body. Almost like a motorcycle but with the stability of four wheels. If you really like sports cars you owe it to yourself to test drive one of these. You might want to bring your check book.

I just read this entire thread and I see that you misunderstood our conversation. Just for the record, I said I was always afraid of backing up into the pickup because of the limited rear visibility in the Exige S. However, this is not how the damage to my left tail light and lip occurred. It seems that the only safe place to park your car is in your own garage. And yes, she will be brought back into her original pristine condition asap.

Thank-you once again everyone for the comments. The funny thing is, SimonMExS STILL forget's to mention the fact that being 2000lbs means AWESOME FUEL ECONOMY! I can seriously go on and on about the Lotus in comparison to the Lambo and Ferrari, but I'll try to be short...Lotus Exige S = supercar performance w/o much practicality and a very difficult ingress/egress for some. Driving an Elise/Exige will truly demonstrate light weight efficiency. Not much is needed to get the car going. My only gripe is a notchy, muted gearbox that truly stinks. If only this car has an S2000 gearbox. Problem is, this will never happen because the Lotus' stick is attached to the transmission via cables.

I have to take exception to your comment that the gearbox "truly stinks." Isn't that a bit harsh. Yes, it's not like the gearbox in a s2000 Honda. However, I'm quite happy with the shifter/gearbox combination. Especially, with the Sector 111 "Re-enforcer" and the "Bullock" shift knob.
Btw, I'm very happy with the results of your Zaino application. My friend Tom, is very happy with how his car came out, as well.

Yeah, after driving the Lotus around for a few days the shifter doesn't stink. That was a bit harsh. It is precise and easy to use. But, I can't say it is anywhere near an S2000. I'm happy that you are happy with the Zaino application. Please let me know when Tom is ready to do his other vehicles. CIAO!!
