Pair of C6 Z06's and an F-150
2007 Chevy Corvette Z06. I see this one twice a month...until April. The owner hit a pothole and bent a rim. Chevy dealers do not keep Z06 rims in stock so it sat on the dealer's back lot, OUTSIDE, for more than 3 weeks. The car was absolutely filthy and the hood was covered in bird bombs. I ended up having to clay all the horizontal surfaces with Mother's Clay as I washed it with Optimum No Rinse. The paint wasn't too badly swirled, got some really good before and afters under my lights....until I realized when I was taking the final full car shots I didn't have film in my camera.
I started off with Zaino Z-PC using orange Edge Cyclo cutting pads which did an excellent job on the light halo swirls and a few light scratches and removed all the minor bird bomb etchings and reduced the HUGE one (the bird must have eating a mouse or something) about 90%. I followed with Optimum Poli-Seal using a white LC CCS polishing pad and buffed off the excess and sealed the car at the same time using Optimum Car Wax. I see this car every two weeks when it isn't languishing on the dealer's lot so I'll go back to what I had been doing, stacking carnaubas on it.
=============
2005 Ford F-150. Last polished and waxed in August. After washing the filth off it (wetter than usual here since late March), the paint still looked pretty good from hitting it with Optimum Polish last year. Just used Poli-Seal and a white LC CCS pad and topped with my 80/20 blend of Meguiars #16 and FK's Pink Wax. It was cloudy like usual for the past several weeks but the sun peeked (sorta!) out a bit for a couple cpics.

Beautiful Scott! I have yet to try the OS.
I could do without the checkerboard flames on the Vette though!
You guys sure have seen some strange weather.

Beautiful job on all three vehicles. Shame the dealer couldn't take care of an expensive car like the Vette. +1 on removing the checkerboard flames.

Dude the weather down here...even in the local 4 state areas has been horrible and at times very violent. There has been no sun for days and every day it has rained in some form or fashion for the last 2 weeks.
It must be President Bush's fault!!
Oh by the way Scott.....dang that Yellow Vette sure does glow
Anthony

Wow, nice work Scott! It didn't look like that yellow Z06 really needed any attention!

It had a few very light defects but yeah, other than that it didn't need much. That is why I didn't even break out the Cyclo.

Hey Scott -
Curious about your #16, Pink Wax 80/20.
Do you literally melt both waxes down and mix and let it harden ?
