'97 Expedition

Holey Smokes!! The things I do for money!!

Another softball friend. Single mom, two kids and no time to wax an SUV. According to her it had never been waxed, only washed and had never had the inside done. Boy howdy was that ever evident when I started pokin' around. There were MAJOR water spots on the drivers side that didnt come all the way out. The windeshield is cracked, there was coco puffs everywhere I looked, I found a choclate and peanut butter easter egg buried somewhere. Yeah......it was in the 80's that day so it was like reaching into a baby's diaper... This things was in pretty bad shape...I helped a little....but I couldn't get it perfect. Let me know what you think!!

So here ya go!

Washed w/ Dawn (after degreasing engine)

Paint: Total polish time - 8 hours
Clayed w/Megs clay (all paint, glass, chrome and rims)
XMT w/yellow ccs pad x 2
OP w/orange ccs pad
KAIO w/white ccs pad
Megs #16
AW

Interior
Vaccumed w/shopvac
Vacuumed all the cheez-its, coco puffs and crayons out of all the little cubby holes I could find.
Cleaned as much of the carpet and seats as I could w/Folex
Used a LGCM for the first time - Need to practice more and use it with more light in order to check my work as I go.
Wiped down with APC
Dressed w/ HD (I really missed using DP Protectant...am placing an order right now)

Engine:
Cleaned w/Megs DG
Actually took a chance and sprayed the engine down with water (with it running) for the first time. Everything seemed to work fine when I was done!
Dressed w/ HD

Tires. rims and wells
Cleaned w/WB
Dressed w/Tire Foam
Wells w/DG and Meg Endurance Gel

Pics!
This is what was waiting for me in the valleys that you hook the back seat into....

What year was it last washed?

I think you did a great job for what it was.

Re: '97 Expedition

Nicely done. Which XMT did you use? I am guessing 3 or 4?

Re: '97 Expedition

Why am I not suprised how nasty that Expidtion was? Oh yeah...because every one I have done has been that nasty!

Excellent recovery, I am amazed at how much better it looks.

Re: '97 Expedition

For the love of Pete. Outstanding work. So was the slob owner shocked?

It never ceases to amaze me, I can't image this lady lets her house get that way, so why her car?
