Yellow '01 S2000

I play softball with the owner and have been talking to them about detailing their car. They decided to give it a go. This car was bought here, they moved to Arizona, spent almost two years and driven back here. From a few feet away this car looked great but then one night when I was leaving softball I caught a glimpse of it under the parking lot light..OMFG! I gto on my phone and told the owner that they HAD to let me at this car!

Lots of siwlrs, lots of road tar and lots of dust from running around with the top down. Headlights wer hazed and the top had a couple of repaired rips in it. So here's how it went:

Washed w/Dawn
Clayed entire car includng glass and paint.

Cleaned rims with Megs WB and topped with AW
Tires got Westly Tire White w/megs tire brush
Dressed with Hot Tire Shine
Wheel wells dressed with Megs Endurance Gel

OC w/yellow ccs pads x2
KAIO w/ white ccs pads
Topped with PS21 x 2
Megs #16
AW

Interior cleaned w/DP Interior Cleaner
Dressed with DG Leather products
Plastic dressed w/DP Interior Protectant

Headlights polished w/PlastX

Engine cleaned w/Megs DG
Dressed w/Megs HD

*not sure what happened but the after pics that I posted disappeared. So they are further down the post......Thanks for your patience!!

That Honda color 'almost' pops in any situation.

What a fantastic improvement!

What tools did you use?

Are the last three pics b4 or after?

We've fixed several 01 S2000 rear windows, eliminating $1200 warranty claims. How's this car's window?

Re: Yellow '01 S2000

Last three pics r b4's Sorry about being out of order. I used a PC.

The rear window was a little rough. I tried to get my cordless back there with some PlastX on it but there was no room for it. I did the best I could by hand. DIdn't make that big of a difference, that's why I didn't show it.

Nice work on that car! Amazing that someone lives in that type of car that way!

I have a 2000 S2000 with 6,300 miles on it. The rear window was horrible. PlastX is amazing -- all done by hand; about 4 passes on each side:

Excellent work looks like a brand new car in the afters. How did you apply that plastx to the headlights?

Car looks sweet.

There's a company called "Buff Shine" that make polishing pads. They are like 2" across. The kit comes with a yellow and black pad. It also comes with the backing plate and a woll buffing pad for finishing. It attached to my drill and works great!! I found it at a local paint supply store here in Sacramento.

Re: Yellow '01 S2000

amazing transformation on the exterior. That yellow looked so dead and now it's so vibrant. Nice job!
