Did an '02 Silver Accord this last weekend between raindrops. It just DUMPED on Saturday which made for no before shots and washing the car in the rain....fun fun fun!! I did manage to get a few befores but nothing major. The car had spent a lot of time driving across country and was very rough. They had a bike rack on top that had left a few spots that needed attention. This is a customer that lived across the street from the BMW I just posted. Pays to do a mobile every once in a while!! I will be doing their Volvo in May. These were/are extremly nice people that were pleasure to talk with and I look forward to doing business with them for as long as they need me. The husband told me that he had pretty much resigned himself to having it repainted but now that he sees how good it can look he will just haveme take care of it from now on.
The process:
Washed (in between raindrops) with Dawn
Clayed with Megs clay
XMT 4 with CCS yellow
I also tired a something a little different when polishing. I mixed some SSR2.5 (70%) and OP (30%) to see if it would work as well and not dust up but it wasn't agressive enough and still dusted a little...not as much though.
KAIO with CCS white pad
Topped with Megs #16 - Good GOD this stuff looks good on silver!! Totally made the flake pop!!
Tires were cleaned with WB
Dressed with HD
Interior was spot cleaned with Folex and vacuumed
Wiped down with APC and dressed with DP Protectant (as much as I want to consolidate all my dressings and cleaners I just can't walk away from DP's protectant. I really like the way it looks on interior pieces. Plus the banana smell drives me crazy

)
Clay after half the hood
