Below are pictures of a rare 1994 Porsche Turbo. Rare because I believe they only made the 3.6 Turbo for one year, which was 1994, and so far I have not been able to find another one in Signal Green.
Signal Green is a color for a few select people, me being one of them, as it is a very LOUD and bright color and if you just want to blend in with the crowd you'll hate this car. I got more rubber neckers tripping over themselves while gawking at this Porsche than any other perhaps. The color is perfect for an exotic such as this Porsche....with only 19k miles on it.
I have no BEFORE pics because the day I started it drizzled and was very overcast. Today when I finished it was very cold and raining so I only have AFTER pics of it in the shop, under shop lights.
The Paint condition - Environmental damage in the form of water etching and pitting. It was a single stage paint and had some bonded contaminates on it. Marring and some deep random scratches.
My form of paint correction - To correct the water spotting and pitting I would of needed to wetsand and the owner was not up for that nor was I really as it's going to be a driver and not a concours or garage queen. Besides, wetsanding a Porsche can actually knock points off the car so in terms of a concours car it's best to leave it alone.
I used Optimum Polish for 90% of the correction plus the finishing work. I used orange, wool,
Lake Country white, blue, green, black and white finishing pads during the buffing process. I had to use some Hyper and Compound in a few areas. Cyclo finished the car off.
I applied 2 coats of Opti-Seal about 45 minutes apart. 24 hours later Ron came over to help out (he detailed the interior) and he then also applied 2 more OptiSeal coats. So we have a total of 4 OptiSeal coats on the Porsche.
We also had the chance to use a few other products.
Zaino on the tires

The paint now looks as if you licked it it would taste like Sour Apple
Now I know that artificial lighting can make just about any car look glossy and wet so I hope that it looks good also in the sun and I hope on Monday it is sunny so I can see what it looks like and I'll take and post more pictures. This last picture though best represents the true color of Signal Green.......Mmmmmm it's candy
