Accord, Suburban, F-250 and Range Rover HSE

2006 Honda Accord. One of my product test vehicles. I see it once every 4-6 weeks and the owner occasionally runs it through the gas station wash in between plus his commute is 85 miles a day. Great for extreme (at least for the Dallas area) durability testing. I wanted to try Optimum Opti-Seal on it to see how it holds up without doing any of the usual polishing (car didn't need it anyway), so I simply applied a single coat.

==============

1996 Chevy Suburban. I detailed it a couple of months ago, and he let one of his sons take it on a ski trip to Colorado. Wasn't too bad, but he wanted it detailed again as it will now mostly sit the next 6 months until hunting season starts. I had polished it out pretty well the last time and the paint still looked pretty good. Just sealed with Opti-Seal. The trim and running boards got Meguiars Hot Shine Tire Gel.

2005 Ford F-250. The owner's ex-wife backed into something last fall and the bed on the driver's side was dented. He got it fixed in early January so it was time for the paint to be sealed again. There were a lot of swirls and straight line scratches on the tailgate, apparently his ex-wife washed it a coin-op and used the foaming brush. The rest of the truck was fine though. Go figure.

I figured I'd try the bottle of Zaino Z-PC I got, in conjunction with a yellow Lake Country cutting pad. Really did a nice job, took out about 90% of the defects, all that was left was the really deep stuff. Finished down nice on the hard Ford Paint, even using a pretty aggressive pad. I then went over the whole truck using Zaino All in One and a black LC CCS finishing pad and sealed the truck with Opti-Seal. ZAIO on the chrome and Meguiar Hot Shine Tire Gel on the trim.

The owner of the truck stayed home sick (he owns the Rolls Phantom I do, he typically parks one in the warehouse and takes the other one home) and apparently had the keys with him instead of in the ignition like usual so I had to take the pics in the warehouse. I was pretty happy with the very wet gloss that I got from ZAIO and Opti-Seal.

2004 Range Rover HSE. Overall, it was in decent shape, even the interior was pretty good considering they have a toddler. I washed with Optimum No Rinse and clayed as I washed. The hood had some moderate swirls and there was a paint transfer over the right rear fenderwell. Zaino Z-PC and orange Edge Cyclo cutting pads did an excellent job on both areas. I then went over the whole vehicle with ZAIO using white Edge Cyclo finishing pads and sealed it with Opti-Seal.

The interior was cleaned using Woolite/water on the leather and vinyl and BioKleen Traffic Lane Cleaner on the carpets. Vinyl was dressed with Optimum's Protectant Plus and the leather with Zaino Z-10.

Usually just wash with Optimum No Rinse. If they need deeper cleaning I use Wheel Wax.

DieselMDX-I love the smell of Z-10 but as a conditioner, it isn't any better than the Turtle Wax Leather Conditioner I use. Leather Master's Leather Vital is alone at the top of leather conditioners by a large margin. At $60 a quart though, it should be.

Latest word I have from my Optimum distributor concerning Opti-Seal is that he should have it ready for sale by April 20th. The label company subcontracted out the labels (due to the type of label being used), so that caused a delay.
