2005 Toyota Highlander

This is a detail of a 2005 Toyota Highlander I did today for a family member. The family member asked if I would do a detail on the car as a birthday gift. The car was pretty trashed and it gave me the opportunity to use some products that I don't use everyday and had laying around. It was bascially a quick clean up. All they wanted it for was to "shine". They didn't even know what a "swirl" was.

I was pretty surprised how well the Megs ColorX cut through the oxidation and marring on the finish.

Process:

Wash with NXT wash soap with a bit of Castrol Super Clean via White Schmitt (the car was tarred pretty bad)
Wheels cleaned with Megs All Purpose Wheel Cleaner via black Schmitt
Carpets cleaned with Simple Green 10:1 and scrubbed with Oxy Clean/Tide Mix. Extracted with Shop Vac
Paint polished with Megs ColorX via PC and Megs 8006 pad at 5-6
S100 wax by hand
Tires dressed with Megs Insane Tire Shine
Interior cleaned with Castrol Super Clean 3:1 mix
Interior dressed with Sonus Total Eclipse
Glassed cleaned with Megs NXT Glass Cleaner

Befores:

After
