'98 Expedition

I did a '98 Expedition this weekend. Black of course!! LOL!! When I picked it up on Friday night all the husband would say is "good luck". I told him that he would/should be impressed and surprised when I brought it back on Sunday. He just smiled and said "good luck". He and the wife both were ecstatic when I dropped it off! She was jumpin' around and was very happy with the way it turned out! Even the husband was impressed, which I fould out later isn't something that happens easily! They asked me to detail their Honda next. I will post about it when it's done!!

My process was:

Wash w/dawn
Clay all paint, chrome and glass w/Megs Clay and DP lube
Dry with leaf blower. (Not that it mattered as swirled as thing was)
Polished w/PB SSR 2.5 and CCS yellow pads
Finishing polish was done with PB SSR1 and then KAIO w/CCS white pads
2 coats of KSG
Follow up Sunday morning with DG AW

Interior:
Vaccumed
Stain removal was with Folex
Wiped down w/APC and treated with DP Protectant

Wheels and Tires:
Pulled off vehicle
Degreased w/Megs DG
Insides were clayed
Inside and outside were waxed w/Megs GC paste

Engine:
Cleaned w/Megs DG and APC
Dressed w/ Megs HD

As always, any comments are welcomed!!

Re: '98 Expedition

Nice works...I like the before & afters. I'll never understand why SUV owners put those low profile tires on trucks. I guess since MTV says it's a cool thing to do then it's cool LOL - I'll opt for the smoother ride you get with the appropriate sized tire thx.

Re: '98 Expedition

Nice work mose. The engine compartment was filthy looking. Great job getting that thing cleaned up.

Re: '98 Expedition

nice work! I'm surprised all it took was ssr 2.5 via pc (I'm assuming it was via pc?) to get those swirls out.

Re: '98 Expedition

Hat's off just for getting that much square footage of paint into shape. My mom-in-law has an identical car and I ain't touching that thing.
