Extreme Spray Paint Removal Pics

**Interior Pics added in Post #52**

I bought a 1998 Mustang GT and the owner decided to spray bomb the roof after he realized that the paint couldn't be brought back to life with a PC. Check out the before and afters.

BEFORE:

DURING THE REMOVAL:

I had to soak down individual small areas with paint thinner(Goof Off) and then scrape the soft paint away with a razor blade being cafeful not to gouge the original finish.

PRELIMINARY COMPOUNDING:

AFTER:

It's not perfect in any way, but much better than spending money on a repaint. I just bought it to clean and sell.
Here's what I used:
Auto Magic Power Cut Plus Compound with White Wool Pad
Auto Magic New Car Glaze with White Wool Pad
Auto Magic GS-1 with Yellow Foam Pad
Auto Magic BC-2 with Blue Foam Pad
Auto Magic Wet Wax with PC.

Wow, tough not to gouge that with a regular razor blade, amazing recovery!

Basically bought it for crack head prices from the original owner who didn't know what it was worth. They destroyed it by not taking care of from day 1. The car is in the process of being transformed into a really nice car by just extensively detailing it for ZERO $COST. Here's a pic of the before and after of the complete outside:

I plan on posting the complete results from purchase to sale after it's sold.

Re: Extreme Spray Paint Removal Pics

According to David, I think it was just peeling spray paint. I think.
