Another Tahoe....even more tired this time!!

This is the first car I have done since my gall bladder surgery. Might have been pushing it a little!! Luckily Mr. Vicodin was around to get me through it!!

The owner is the brother of a girl I did a Tahoe for a couple weeks ago and he was very excited for me to make his baby look as good as hers. When I picked it up I told him that his appeared to be in better shape than his sisters. But, once I got it home and washed it.....not so much. As you will see it was COVERED with swirls!! Luckliy I had it all weekend!! It also rained all day Saturday so I looked like a complete dork out there washing this thing in the rain.......but whatever!!

My process:

Wash with Megs CG
I had jet washed the wheels and well the night before to get all the mud and stuff out.
Degreased the engine with Megs DG and dressed with Megs HD
OP w/LC yellow
AIO w/LC white
Klasse SC x2
Interior w/DP Cleaner and Protectant
Carpet stains w/Megs Pink bottle
Dressed the wheels and well with Megs Endurance diluted 1:1

I must say that I was blown away by AIO!! I couldn't belive how much of a difference it made in the paint! I did test on half the hood and actually got goose bumps!! How can one product make such a difference? It was absolutley amazing and I will use AIO on every car I do from now on!!!

Very nice job!

The paint in the before shots looks absolutely horrible.

Very nice job! Can you explain why you diluted the Meg's Endurance Gel? I've never heard of anyone diluting it.

Re: Another Tahoe....even more tired this time!!

diesle:

The feel adn look of the paint instantly changed for the better! It felt more smooth and looked almost perfect! I used probably a drop the size of a quarter per panel.

Mikebai:

I diluted the Endurance gel cuz it is too thick. When I spray it on the tire full strength it's harder than hell getting the overspray off the rim. Plus it just gives it a more natural loook.

Thanks to everyone for the comments!!!

Re: Another Tahoe....even more tired this time!!

excellent work, mose! You got rid of a lot of swirls for just using OP. How many passes did you do to achieve that?

Re: Another Tahoe....even more tired this time!!

BlackElantraGT:

I made one pass with OP on a yellowLC pad and one pass with AIO on an LC white pad.

Here's a question though:

I use only a PC as I have yet to step up to a rotary. Pretty much everything I do is on speed 6. Other than intially spreading the product to reduce splatter I see no reason for usng any of the other speeds. Any thoughts or comments?

Re: Another Tahoe....even more tired this time!!

Mose...all polishing/cutting I do on speed 6.

Only thing I slow it down for is to spread the product initially and to apply a glaze. I tend to use 3/3.5 to apply a glaze.

Tahoe looks GREAT. I'm sure the owner was pleased.
