Harley-Davidson Road King. I detail it about once a year, usually in the winter. He usually only rides it on nice days around town but also takes a couple long trips a year. Overall, it wasn't bad this time. I washed it down with Optimum No Rinse, and removed the saddle bags, windscreen and seat to make it easier.
Werkstatt's Prime and Acrylic Jett by hand, Clearkote's Vanilla Moose on all chrome, Turtle Wax Leather conditioner on leather.
He also had me detail his girlfriend's Escalade. He and 6 others drove it out to Colorado and back and he wanted it cleaned up before he gave it back to his g/f. He had it in at the dealer early that morning to fix a problem with the CD player and they washed and vacuumed it...but boy, do they suck at door jambs! Fenderwells looked horrible too.
Anyway, that sped the process up a bit since the road grime from the trip was gone, along with all the snack crumbs. The paint had some spider swirls but he told me not to go nuts on the Escalade because "she" would never know the difference and as long as th interior was spotless and the paint was shiny and slick, she'd be happy. I used Optimum Poli-Seal with a white LC polishing pad, that knocked the swirls down probably 75% or so. Not where I wanted it to be, but a noticable improvement...and I'm not doing major swirl removal for free! I finished it off with my 80/20 blend of #16/PW. Since I had the keys to the Escalade, plus it is much easier to see the interior in daylight, I was able to drive it out of the parking garage and detail it in a drive by the side of his building. I definitely wasn't pushing his Road King that far.

I wash with Optimum No Rinse and use either a chenille or microfiber covered foam pad.

I spray it on after the first drying pass and before the final drying pass.
john1c-never really like sheepskins. Chenille or MF covered foam pads seem to work best for me when using ONR. I got the last batch for $1.50 each at Big! Lots (chenille) and the MF one was given to me to try by my Optimum distributor (he thinks it is an American Buffing product).
