Audi S4, BMW X5, Ford F-150 and F-350

Plus a few more of that black Z06 waxed with Souveran...

I also detailed his girlfriend's F-150. Pretty decent condition, a few random interior stains and light swirls in the paint. I cleaned the interior using Woolite/water on the vinyl and Bio Kleen Traffic Lane Cleaner on the carpet and seats. Vinyl protected with Optimum's Protectant Plus.

The exterior was polished with Optimum Polishing using green Propel lite cut Cyclo pads and waxed with an 80/20 blend of Meguiars #16 and FK's Pink Wax.

2002 BMW X5 4.6is. It had moderate swirls but no other real defects in the paint. I used Optimum Hyper Compound using green Cyclo polishing pads, Optimum Polish using green Propel lite cut Cyclo pads, Optimum Poli-Seal using a blue Propel finishing pad and PC. Some of the pics are a bit dark, nowhere to move it without being in the way of traffic through the condos.

2004 Ford F-350. This was a suprise waiting for me this morning. I normally wash 3-4 cars at this location but the slight risk of rain this evening (still dry so far!) scared them off. But....this huge beast of a truck was there. It belongs to the big boss's wife and since she was out of town and it was just going to sit in the warehouse a few days, they had me clean it.

My son and I had about 3 hours to do as much as we could to it. Unfortunately, this is basically a ranch truck so it was really rough. Plus the lady who drives it is a chain smoker and keeps her dog with her all the time (good sized Boxer). The interior absolutely reeked! We had to blast all the fabric with Frebreeze before we could even stand to have the doors open. Pretty much the worst smelling vehicle I have done in a long time. The outside was muddy along the bottom and the wheels were caked in it. Lucky for me, this is the warehouse with the dionized water so I washed it conventionally.

We really didn't have time to do a full on detail-plus the boss probably wouldn't want to spring for it anyway. Not that he can't afford it, but his wife is such a slob it isn't worth his money or my time. We shampooed the mats and wiped down all the vinyl and leather and the exterior was polished and sealed with Optimum Poli-Seal using the PC and a blue Propel finishing pad. It really could use deep polishing but like I said, the way this truck is abused it would be wasted effort. In any event, I was really happy with how well Opti-Seal cleaned up the paint even just using the PC and a finishing pad. Gave the paint a real nice glow too.

No interior pics, nothing really special anyway since we didn't shampoo the carpets or dress anything. Definitely smelled a lot better though.

Yeah, the exhaust tip looks like crap. It had a really tough film stuck to it plus a lot of tar. I was told not to spend what limited time I had on stuff like that.

============

2001 Audi S4. I was warned in advance this one would be tough, especially the trunk lid which had numerous scuffs and scratches, plus swirls everywhere. Due to a lack of time and approaching clouds (which would have made before and after shots pointless) I didn't take any before shots. The owner did though, if he sends them along, I'll post them.

Anyway, he wasn't joking about the condition of the paint. This one was rough. Of course, it didn't help this was typical rock hard Audi paint. I started with Optimum Hyper Compound using first orange (not effective enough) then bumping up to yellow Cyclo cutting pads on the hood and trunk lid, then OHC using the orange Cyclo cutting pads on the whole car (hood and trunk lid I went over twice with that combo). I then used Meguiars #83 DACP and again orange Cyclo cutting pads on the whole car (and again, twice over the hood and three times on the trunk lid). By this time the sun was replaced by cloud cover but in the peaks of sun, I could see there was a huge improvement. I went over the whole car using Optimum Polish and green Propel lite cut pad and then sealed with Poli-Seal using my PC and a blue Propel finishing pad.

I wasn't able to get this car 100%, probably 90+% over most of it and about 80% on the trunk lid. Funny thing was most of the scratches and scuffs came out but not all the halo swirls on the trunk lid. Go figure, right? Regardless, the improvement was pretty dramatic and the owner was very pleased. I have a few more pics on my next roll, I'll post them in the next thread.

Holy smokes!....could the paint be any more creamier on those? The Corvette and X5 are another matter entirely...they are bordering on "impossible."

Oh, I just noticed something....how do you keep the disc brake rotors showroom clean with no rust spot formations after your cleaning/polish or wax of the wheels?

that Audi looks great. I love Nogaro Blue but its not fun to polish at all. Everything looks great and that light interior looks awesome.

All of them look fantastic, I can't believe that Audi took that much work! Both of the Fords look really wet, and the Vette looks like a rolling pool. Great job as always.
