Continuation of this thead: http://autopia.org/forum/showthread.php?t=78478
This time with my pictures and full process/products.
I went down to Austin again, the Z06 I was supposed to do last time was finally finished and they had 4 other vehicles lined up.
This is what we started with on day 1:
As you can see, the Acura and Corvette aren't too dirty, the A6 was filthy.
The A6 has had some body work and a crappy buff job. Halo and rotary swirls...and hard Audi paint. Luckily, Audi black doesn't seem quite as hard as their other colors and the combination of Optimum Compound and orange Cyclo cutting pads did a great job with minimal hazing. I followed with Optimum Polish using green Propel lite cut Cyclo pads and followed with the soon to be released Optimum Opti-Seal (not sure if that is the final name) using white Cyclo finishing pads.
It was very late afternoon when I finished so no full sun pics (there is one that isn't that great in the link to the initial thread) but I did about half the car in the sun to make sure my process was removing the swirls and finishing out properly.
The interior was pretty rough up front, some spills and very dusty. I got a few new interior products from fellow Autopian Grouse to try, so the carpets got Bio-Kleen's Traffic Lane Cleaner (I believe that is the correct name) and it does an excellent job-on the mats, you could spray it on and watch the stains melt away! The rest of the interior surfaces were cleaned with Woolite/water and the interior was dressed with Optimum Protectant Plus.
This same process was used for all interior pics in this thread.

Join Date: Oct 2001 Location: Arlington, TX Posts: 25,603 | It was time for my car's fall detail. It had been 6 weeks since I'd even had a chance to wash it so I was pleasantly suprised to find the paint was still in pretty decent shape. The hood and trunk lid got Meguiars DACP using green Propel lite cut Cyclo pads, then I went over the whole car with a 70/30 mix of Menzerna 106FF and Clearkote's Red Machine Glaze using green Propel lite cut Cyclo pads, following with Pink Moose (50/50 Vanilla Moose and RMG) and topped with Meguiars #16. The next week, I washed my car with Optimum No Rinse and added a coat of Clearkote's Carnauba Moose Wax.
Today, I washed it again (all dusty from the air show on Saturday and the Austin trip) and went over the car with a 50/50 mix of Optimum Car Wax and Werkstatt's Carnauba Jett...and actually had some sun to take pics in.

Cars look as good as always. Any idea when the Optimum sealant will hit the market? I'll be following your durability reports and hold off on buying any other products until it hits the market. I've been so happy with the polish and the OCW, that I will try any Optimum product that hits the market.

Scott- you make it look easy....thank you for sharing and giving us ideas...(.by the way what do you use on the windows wax or sealant ,brand, how many layers j/j)
i wouldnt mind owning a corvette ZO6, but recentlyr i detailed a slightly modified BMW M5, i would save my pennies for the M5 instead of the Z06........

Djmigs-I just clean the glass with Meguiars NXT Glass Cleaner using 16 x 24 waffle weaves I get from my Optimum distributor. Ric-My understanding is that Poli-Seal will only be available by the gallon. Probably enough to last the average person several years.
