Quick preview-2001 Z06 Twin Turbo, Trailblazer SS, Acura TL, Audi A6

All pics were taken by the owners of the cars. All were done with Optimum Polishes and a new (soon to be released) Optimum polish/sealant. Full details in a day or two once I get my pics processed.

BTW, I got a ride in the Z06 TT...no real way to describe how hard that car pulls. A new C6 Z06 would get slaughtered by this car (and yes, I have ridden in a new Z06).

...and yes, I did clean and dress the fenderwells on that Audi, but the rear fenderwells have this weird corrugated fabric type stuff that doesn't take to dressing very well.

Specs on the Z06:

(Supplied by the owner)

BTW, car is up for sale for $40,000.

2001 Corvette Z06

Mod red interior

Exterior:

Brakes :

Turbo kit was made by Boostlogic (Austin, TX), Motor done by MTI (Houston, TX) and all other work done by Performance Motorsports (Austin, TX). No expense was spared in this build and the quality is top notch. The car runs/drives/idles/sounds stock until you lay into it. The only way anyone can tell this car isn’t stock is by the sounds of the turbos spooling and the BOV’s, beyond that the car appears and sounds stock.

That Vette is tight. Any thoughts on the Optimum polish/sealant? All of them have a nice glow.

I will have more pics tomorrow. The hot young lady who also does the best film processing at Walgreens works tomorrow. I prefer to have her take care of my pictures for both reasons.

Plus when I told her what I'd be detailing, she begged me to not bring the film until she worked next so she could see the car.

Sean-I'll get a DSLR one of these days but the way I take pics now, I have the negatives, prints for an album I keep in my car to show prospective customers and a picture CD scanned from the negatives for posting purposes.

Nick-you ain't kidding! I think my spine is still compressed from the ride I got! He eased into the throttle at around 15-20 and in about 6-7 seconds, we were doing 105...slightly uphill the whole time! Really incredible sound too, the growl of the engine ripping to redline in each gear, accompanied by the woosh of the turbos spooling up and the hiss of the BOV with each gear change.

Bigpoppa3346-I really like it. Has light polishing capability (maybe a touch more than Vanilla Moose), sets up immediately-in fact, it almost disappears into the paint paint so removal is effortless. All you feel when you remove it is the slickness, which seems on par with UPP, Werkstatt and Zaino.

I am going to be using on some regular's cars too. I've been told by Anthony Orosco, who has been testing it for a while now, that at the 2-3 month point it is holding up well. I am hoping around Christmas-time, I will have my own durability assessment.

Oh hell yes!!! Outstanding as ever Scott.

I'm not sure how far MTI is from you but they would be a killer business prospect as I'm sure the cars need some Scottwax after being in the shop.

Mike-MTI would be 250 miles one way. Rainy weeks would be the only way.

And yes, they do need some attention, the front fenders had lots of scuffs from the engine work.

How loud are the turbos? Hopefully they are really quite, at least until opened up cuz that thing is a sleeper! Not that regular Z06s are slow, but well you know. lol Nice car though, same with the Trailblazer SS, I want one of those so bad! lol Scott... your a luck man!
