Black '06 Z06, G35, SC430

2004 Infiniti G35. Regular customer, he has me wax it about every 10-12 weeks, maintains it himself (and does an excellent job!) between waxing. This time he wanted it polished and then sealed for the upcoming winter. The car needed some light polishing so I went with my mixture of Menzerna 106FF and Clearkote's Red Machine Glaze (70/30 mix) using green Propel lite cut cyclo pads and sealed with Meguiars #16 Paste.

I did this on after the G35 and I was expecting to do another G35 but this time a red one. When I got to the owner's house, there was a red car waiting for me but he'd sold the G35 and bought this 2004 Lexus SC430.

The horizontal surfaces were a touch hazy and there was a single rotary hologram on the left rear fender, so those areas got Meguiars #83 DACP using green Propel lite cut cyclo pads, then I went over the whole car with 106FF/RMG using green Propel lite cut cyclo pads, and waxed with Pinnacle Souveran.

2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Brand spanking new, only around 500 miles on it. He refused dealer prep so the paint looked really good, very few faint halo swirls were about all we could see in the paint in the bright sun...and then the rain came. Wave after wave of rain showers.

No need for any deep polishing so I used 106FF/RMG using green Propel lite cut cyclo pads, and waxed with Pinnacle Souveran. The pics actually turned out halfway good considering it was raining and the car was in his garage when I took the pics. I'll be cleaning/waxing it about once a month, hopefully next time it isn't raining.

Both those black cars look stunning.. the red looks great too but the black is simply amazing.

In your opinion... which looks better? The ZO6 with Souveran or the G35 with the #16?

Im kinda diggin the #16 a little more!

Scott, great work! I have a question, how did you clean the wheels on the first black G-35, and what dressing did you use? Also, how do you like the 106ff/RMg mix? Does it fill as well swirl removal?

Andrew

Very nice, I can't even pick my favorite, although the first shot almost blew me away.

More excellent work there, mate! I do enjoy seeing the cars you work on, wish I could see them in person one day. Glad to see I'm not the only one who does "chemistry set" detailing by mixing products together!
