S55 revisited, black Silverado, Grand Cherokee, Corolla

Just a few more of the S55 I did the other day from this thread:

Again, the process was a hand application of Meguiars #16 Paste over a 4 month old Prime/AJ detail.

And a promised interior shot. Cleaned with Woolite/water mix and protected with Optimum Protectant Plus.

2003 Chevy Silverado. Weekly wash customer, waxed about every 2.5 months but it hasn't been deep polished in over a year. The city had been doing construction on his road in front of his house for the last 18 months so he just didn't see a point doing anything beyond protecting the paint during that time. The paint had light swirls, scuffs and scratches. I started off with Meguiars #83 using green Propel lite cut Cyclo pads, followed with #80 using the green Propel pads and topped with Meguiars #16.

1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I detail this one every August before their son goes off to college with it. He keeps it up pretty nicely, never needed any extreme interior cleaning or heavy polishing.

I could have gone with Optimum Polish or Meguiars #80 Speed Glaze on this one but chose #80 for the simple fact it is pretty much the same exact color as this Jeep is. Anyone who has used #80 will know this is true.

Anyway, #80 using green Propel lite cut Cyclo pads and finished with Meguiars #16. Yeah, I'm on a #16 kick again. Trim got Armor All.

The interior was cleaned with the usual Woolite/water mix and dressed with Optimum Protectant Plus.

Scottwax excellent work as always!! I know you are a huge proponent of the woolite water mix for fabric cleanin, generally what is the ratio? If you get a chance to try Smartwax carpet upholstery cleaner I suggest you do. Thanks again for the optimum tips. I am hooked

2005 Toyota Corolla. 2nd owner, he had recently purchased the car and wanted it cleaned up so he could maintain it between details. Overall the car was in excellent condition, even the interior, which was suprising due to the lack of floormats (he has ordered some). Woolite/water and OPP on the interior:

The paint was also excellent, other than a few bird bomb etchings on the drivers side doors and a few parking lot bruises here and there. Very swirl free too. Just went over it with Werkstatt's Prime by hand and Acrylic Jett by hand.

Full sun flake shots, notice no swirls!

I probably should have moved the car into the full sun or full shade to take the rest of the pics but my son and I still had an H2 to wash and an Escalade to wash and do an interior detail on so I didn't want to take the time to find a better spot. Sorry.

I started off using Woolite/water at a 6 parts water to 1 part Woolite ratio, now I normally go 8 or 10:1, depending on how dirty the interior is.

I used to use Magnum Upholstry cleaner, good stuff but Woolite works just as well and I can get that pretty much anywhere, purchasing Magnum means driving to Dallas.

Awesome work Scott, you really out do yourself with each of these details. #16 looks like an amazing LSP on black, going to try that out this weekend definitely. Did you use an extractor for the interiors, or just scrub and let dry?

All of them look great! The paint on the Silverado looks a mile deep and the Grand Cherokee looks really wet. On the S55, how was the Prime/AJ holding up after four months? I am asking because I am considering Werkstatt to get me through the nasty Northeast winter.

Good ol' 16, kind of easy to forget how good some of the old standbys are. The Jeep looks killer.

Great work.

Spray, scrub, wipe, spray with clean water as needed, wipe again and wetvac.

Bigpoppa3346-still beading well and had decent slickness. Looked really good too.
